Skin pulling

Im very new to this, just got my SS2 a few days ago. It feels like when i have it under tension its mainly pulling my skin and not my actual internal penis structure. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

There will be some skin stretch at first. This is allowing room for more shaft to be pulled
