I was talking to a co worker of mine the other day at happy hour after work. The conversation gets to girls and dating, and he tells me how he's not ready to settle down since he's in his early 20's. He goes on to say when the girl leaves his house in the morning his dad just grins and his mom shakes her head. He told me they never really "let" him bring girls home, he just always has and they never said anything. Maybe being the oldest my parents weren't like that with me. I was just wondering if anyone else had parents like that growing up (or still do to you young bucks) that either let them or didn't say anything when you had sex at home.

I think I've only sex while they were here once or twice but my rents are pretty young and pretty dope when it comes to just about everything! I've heard them multiple times so if they hear me, they'll just have to deal with it

Max, I'm in my 30's and have my own place and have for almost a decade. It's normal nowadays after college for people to move back home until they establish a career. Plus in college a lot of young people stay home and take classes in town. Not everyone has the same experience as you, and who are we to judge anyone's circumstances.

From what I've seen these days, it's much more a case of boys and girls refusing to become men and women, while a complicit set of parents (or a single parent) enable this prolongation of adolescence. From where I stand; if someone is still living "with" mom & dad, then that someone is still living "off of" mom & dad, no matter what the "childs" age is.
