Red light outside layer broken by mistake

Someone I'm coaching broke the outside layer of his red light. He sent me the photo to see.

Will this still work or does he need the outside layer for protection?

It's hard to see when the light is on. He posted this before. The glass broke. It's probably dangerous with high voltage and your penis nearby that.

But what I can see it should be safe, but are not 100% sure on that.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn’t seem like it would be dangerous but wanted to check. The issue is that the air is being pushing out of that side with the light now instead of the sides so it does heat the same way

Can you get a new glass made for you, maybe that will be to expensive, don't know? But maybe there is a way. Ask some glassmaker is my suggestion.

But you would have to take apart the light, if you are not good with electronics it may not be feasible. If there are big capacitors in there, it can be really dangerous. Because they hold a high voltage for a long time even if you cut the power.

Yeah I’m looking into glass now. I tried to put some plastic around it and that seemed to help a bit but still unsure.
