question regarding weight loss

how many pounds do you need to lose before you notice change in your size due to a reduced fat pad?
i am 5'10 i used to weigh 178 pounds now i weigh 156 pounds and i noticed increased bpel size that was about 0.4 centimeters
and im not even doing any pe routines yet!!!!
and that shocked me
so i was wondering what your take is on this

There's so much that can go into that. Pounds and body fat aren't the same thing.
You should be focusing on losing body fat not overall weight.
For example.
A guy that loses 20lbs of fat will look significantly better than a guy that just lost 20lbs. Most of which is probably water weight anyways.
But I will say if you're 5'10" and only weigh 156lbs i wouldn't be trying to lose weight dude.
Focus on your diet and lift some weights or do calisthenics to build some muscle tone

i'm skinny fat now
i was trying to lose fat before actually starting to build muscle because i got to a point where i looked disgusting even with a shirt on,
so i thought i'll cut first
but i didnt know that cutting fat would cause a change in bpel measurements
that's why i asked
i knew it'd affect nbpel measurements but not bp
 
If you are at your leanest with no fat pad these could be inches without anything but losing weight. I gain and loose weight on a cycle...I can gain or loose two inches with the right gain or loss in weight. When I am most lean I have 2 inches over my overweight self.
