NFL Opening Sunday!!

Hey guys, just wondering what team you are all rootin for and who you think legitimatly can go to the Super Bowl?

Im a Steelers fan, always have been, always will be.

NFC - Philadelphia Eagles (They SHOULD make it to the Bowl, but we know what happend the past 3 years.)

AFC - Pittsburgh Steelers (Yeah, yeah, I'm a fan.) Or the damn Patriots again.

Super Bowl- Pats v. Eagles...
but like you said... you never know. Redskins might make a good showing too, with Gibbs back at the helm. I'd love to see the Colts in the Championship.

Yeah, ditto... but you gotta love those Raiders! I lived in the Bay Area for many years, so I kinda grew to like them.

BTW, have you peeps been following the Hockey World Cup? I know you had a big disappointment, Ghost_Dogg, when the Czhecs dropped Sweden out of the finals, huh?
We've done great this year, though. I mean it's not every year that we have such an impressive lineup with all the top ranking Finnish NHL players (Kipper, Selanne, Koivu etc). Even though we haven't lost a single game yet, I fear that Canada might prove to be too much of a challenge. I'm still keeping my hopes up, though, since we've done great so far.

Yeah. It was a disapointment. But hey the Finnish team lost againt the big U.S. of A didn't they?

On my fathers side it is said we are from Finland from the beginning, but it must be long back. Maybe we are related. lol

Nope. Finland beat the big ole U.S 2-1! We wouldn't be in the final if we had lost.

Yep.. we might have some shared ancestry! lol
I guess I have a tiny amount of Swedish blood from way back, too, so we're all kinda related to one another (all of us Scandinavians, that is)!

Steelers fan here, but the Eagles are my NFC team.

I don't know, but I'm going to go with the Eagles as my NFC pick. The only thing that frightens me about that pick is their three straight years in the NFC championship game, losing all three. I mean, how many years can you be that close to the top before you begin to slip? On the other hand, look how the Bills made it to the Super Bowl for four straight years, so I'm going to go Eagles, even though so many are saying Minnesota.

In the East, the Patriots look good. I think it would be remarkable to appear in three Super Bowls out of four years, but again look at the Bills. The Colts also good. There was some terrible officiating in the AFC championship last year, as the Patriots were just mugging the Indy receivers all game long and getting away with it. And the last two plays by Indy were an officiating disgrace with Patriot DBs grabbing handfuls of jerseys. So, the Patriots are far from unbeatable, as the Colts had a very good chance of coming back. The Bengals will improve more, but not get far with the rookie taking the snaps. The Ravens don't have enough to get there. The Steelers or Titans might make a decent showing, but at the end of the day it will either be New England or Indy from the AFC.
