I’m still in newbie territory. Just thought I’d share this.
I’ve been following a time out of pump, time in the pump routine. I’ll break up the time each week or every few days.
I read here and other places mention this type of routine. But I understood the posts to leave yourself in the tube, but not under pressure. Which I did. I was seeing results.
I’m now seeing slightly faster results when completely out of the pump for the time off pressure. …nothing too fast for all you who might be thinking I’m rushing it.
Plus I know the newbie gains come faster in the beginning year(s).
Warm up first, then:
So one set is X minutes in, X minutes out a few times, then add time to each a few times. Then a long set of say triple or quadruple time of the starting set for the last set. Max total time under pressure is 20 to 30 minutes.
I won’t start the clock until I stop seeing expansion. So I only count the time under full tension.
On the last set, especially if I’m gonna do a bit more pressure than normal, I’ll re-lube up like crazy. Which helps get that extra last stretch a bit of help for an increase when using the narrow tube for length work.
I’ll also break up the out of pump time too. So occasionally if I’m doing 5 minutes in, I’ll do 3 minutes out instead of matching the times each time. …other times I do match time for time.
I change the days off too.
So, for me and during this section of growth I’m keeping my body guessing and ready.
I’m sure you veterans out there are like “dude, old hat, been preaching that for years.”
I appreciate any additional tips on this from ya.
Hope that helps any newbie plateauing.
SIDE NOTES:
I notice each reinsertion I get a bit more length from where I start the session. Example first insertion I tap out at just under 7 inches. The next I hit 7, then final insert I’m a little over 7.
I also noticed it doesn’t take as much pressure to get to a starting stretch point now too.
Some gains are also coming from advice on MOS like using the MOS Silisleeve a good portion of the day (commando style) and after PE sessions.
