Due to the onslaught of robo-spam happening over the past few weeks we have made some changes in new member registration. When you register you will need to respond to the email that is sent to you. Sometimes this email ends up in spam so check your spam email. If you do not respond to the email your account will not be able to post. We have also installed Recapture, you will need to type the correct information for an image containing two words. This should help us control most of this spam. If you do find spam please do not respond to it, please just report it.

It seems that most of the spam has been ended and registrations are going through with ease. This is working out very well so far.


Users will notice that private messages are limited to moderators and people on your friend list. This will be in place for the next few days as we have received reports that some members may be using the PM system to sell products. If you have received one of these private messages or have been approached in any way please let me know. The more I know the safer I can make the forums. What matters to me more than anything else is the data here and the protection of it's historic accuracy. I appreciate any suggestions to improve the forums and understand I am here all day every day, with the help of you guys, keeping things 100%
