I'm missing something! Where is setting to recieve emails when others respond?

I've joined tons of forums over the years so I know how they work. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to recieve a notification email when someone responds to a thread that I'm participating in? I've commed through the settings a hundred times and can't find what I'm missing. Please tell... Thanks!
 
You can also set this in your profile and click on settings, here you can make many custom modifications.
 
Thanks guys! Yeah in my settings I had already had it set to...

Default Thread Subscription Mode: instant email notification

But I don't get them. My email is correct and it's not in my spam by mistake. I added this thread to subscription in the thread tool above and I now see it in my subscribed threads. Surely I don't need to subscribe manually to each thread. Do you guys have access to my account? Can you dig in there and see what's the matter?
 
Wow, to be honest, I've never subscribed to a thread, so the particulars escape me. You just might have to subscribe manually. Try a coupla different threads a coupla different ways, maybe y'need a "secret handshake" or sumthin'.
 
I've subscribed to thread too and I have not received any email notifications. In my settings it even says im subscribed to this thread and a couple others ive posted in. They arent landing in my spam either. I'm at a loss...

On a different note. I just destroyed my wife. Just that is enough to hook me on this new obsession of mine.

it hasn't worked for me in a while...i use to get updates on a couple of threads i subscribed to like fedora's progress and a couple of others when i wanted to keep track of guys that needed my help...but i haven't got an update in a while...i think it stopped working when the layout of the site changed...i try to subscribe to a kingsnake progress..weekly never got any update to my email..it actually stopped working for me a while ago
 
The powers that be should get that fixed. Email notifications add 100% more enjoyment to the whole forum thing. Having to search through and remember where I posted is tireing.
 
It works for me perfectly. I am not sure why it is not working for you.
 
nope still not working for me...but it's ok i guess. but it would be nice to get an update every once in a while so i will be able to keep up with the threads i was interested in..
