I could use a bit of help.

I'm in college and currently live with my parents. Just recently I got hit with that "I gotta get the fuck out of this house/city" bit. So I know I'm going to transfer colleges next fall.

The issue is, as anyone could guess is money. My parents have enough that they can pay my tuition, but we don't have enough for dorm/apartment damages, which all seem to come to $6000-7500. I'm more than willing to raise this money myself. Now I've done the math for all this (it includes some variables I haven't mentioned) and I would need to be able to make around $400 a week. This is also assuming that I'm working about 20 hrs a week as I have taken a heavy course load this semester, and next semester will probably be loaded up with transfer courses.

Any Ideas on how I can accomplish this without destroying myself?

lets see you got 20 hours a week to make 400 dollars. i dont know any job where you can make that in only 20 hours. maybe if you're a good car salesman you can get that part time. good luck.

To make $400 per week working only 20hrs, you would need to make at least $20/hr. That is $400 pre-tax so after taxes, you would be taking home about 30% less. I assume you have no real marketable skills that would warrant that kind of hourly rate so your best bet is to man up and stick it out living at home 'til you graduate.
