Got it. Don't use any additional harder materials in between the plates. You simply add more unneeded pressure and harden surface that causes pinching.
Medical glue, or any fast acting glue may not be in your favor with an open wound. It's better to approach the idea of cutting or tying the frenulum with the intention to separate it rather than using glue. If you have an intention to keep your frenulum, the only method is to create thicker padding below to safeguard the frenulum, and wrap slightly tighter around the base of the glans to the tip of the glans before using the plates.
Other than that, there's a trick to wrap a half and half. It's a bit more uncomfortable but a workable solution. Unfortunately, it forces the stretches on the skin more than the penile shaft itself. This is why it's a half and half.
- First, wrap the TheraBand around the base of the glans with the foreskin covers your plans.
- After three good loops, pull your foreskin back a bit to expose half of your glans. Wrap the glans tightly to engage good friction between the glans and the base of your glans. Create two to three goood loops. This will protect your frenulum from excessive tension force and the sheer force will be distributed between the glans and the base of the glans.
- For the remaining length of the TheraBand, wrap it below the base of the glans. Give it a good tug to see if everything doesn't slip off your penis.
