Having beginner trouble using Hydromax 5

Hi.

I got the bathmate hydromax 5 last week and I've tried using it a few times and I can't seem to get it right.
I've read a lot of different instructions and watched a few videos.
As this is my first time using it I've read that it's better to start off going in flaccid, which I'm doing.

whenever I'm in the bathmate and I do the initial pump (where I push it against my body so water comes out) I then wait 30 secs and then do again, however I cannot get the bathmate to stay on. as soon as I let go it just falls right off. I also find it confusing reading about the different pressures when using it. is the pressure affected by how much you push the bathmate into your body? and is it supposed to stick at that pressure?

There’s a few things you should do to ensure a great seal. Trim your pubic hair down to about a quarter inch or less, smear a little bit of Vaseline around the seal, and try to rotate the pump to the left or to the right to find even greater vacuum.

You will need to continuously pump every couple minutes to keep solid vacuum. A very good modification that will deal with all of this at a very low price is using the wine vacuum modification. I’ll leave the link below.

Make sure that the black part on the valve cap is in the middle position when pumping (not to a side).
 
Thanks for the quick responses. I have pretty much shaven completely.

might sound like a silly question, but It felt different using it last night compared to my other attempts and just wanted to confirm it was correct.

When I complete each pump, should I continue to see the white inner tube sticking out until the next pump or should that part go back into the bellows after the pump. it felt really tight after a few pumps last night and I got a bit freaked out and released it. is the pressure also worked out by how hard/far back I pull the bathmate against my body?

the more you're able to compress the bellows into your pelvis, the greater the pressure will be. At some point, you'll want to add the Vacuvin (wine pump mod), but not until you feel you've 'maxed-out' the basic BM

And also don’t forget to try to turn the pump to the left or to the right even upside down if the seal still gives you issues. Some men use their Bathmate upside down because it works better for them in the shape of their body.
 
I tried it again last night and didn't use as much pressure pumping. I still can't get it to seal to my body without holding it for the 5 minutes.

Because I am uncircumcised and going in flaccid, when I take it off my foreskin is pulled back and because its still flaccid its quite uncomfortable and takes a bit of time to get the foreskin to go back to normal. is this something that should be happening?
 
In my opinion, flaccid vs erect vs 70% erect when first starting out does not really matter (at least for me). After a few months, I would agree with going in 70-80% erect.

As long as your girth does not fill the Bathmate, I would remove the white “comfort sleeve”. For me, suction and pressure are much better without the sleeve.

In a bath tub, fill the Bathmate (without the comfort sleeve) with water while seated. The black tip on the valve should be in the middle position. Insert your penis, and pull the Bathmate against your body. Water should spray out the top when you pulling the Bathmate back, and only then. The black bellows should compress and stay compressed a little with every pump. Feeling a pulling sensation is good, it should never really hurt.

In a shower, slide the black tip on the valve to a side. Fill the Bathmate with water. Insert your penis into the Bathmate (without the comfort sleeve), flip the black tip on the valve to the center position and pull the Bathmate against your body. Water should spray out the top when you’re pulling the Bathmate back, and only then. The black bellows should compress and stay compressed a little with every pump. Feeling a pulling sensation is good, it should never really hurt.

Once you get the hang of that, ANY time you feel like your no longer getting the right suction, google how to clean the Bathmate valve. This will need to be done on a somewhat regular basis. I wasted 2-3 weeks once trying to figure out what changed, and why I wasn’t getting suction anymore.
 
Thanks so much for the replies. I have been going in fully flaccid or at most 20% erect. I think I'm going to try going in at least 70% erect to see if I get on any better.

once i compress the bellows into my body for each pump, should they remain compressed without me having to hold them in that position?
 
Yea shouldn't have to hold it, I used to do a quick couple of presses, been a while as switched over to winevac mod and never looked back
 
As I am uncircumcised, when coming out of the bathmate if I went in at around 60-70% erection my foreskin is pulled back. before going back into the bathmate for another 5 minutes should I ensure my foreskin is back to normal before repumping or should that not matter?

I was also thinking about ordering the Silistretcher. do you think with this, along with bathmate and casual stretching and jelqing that I could make quick enough perm gains? I'm small (2.5inches or so) flaccid length and lacking in girth (need to do official measuring) so would it be difficult to use with little flaccid length and girth to work with?

Yes, the Bathmate and SiliStretcher are incredible tools and work with SRT really well. What is your pumping routine right now? I may be able to help you with that foreskin issue.

I pump the bathmate against me 2-3 times so the water comes out each time. I then simply hold it as It doesn't seem to stick to me and falls off if I let go. After around 4-5minutes I take it off. at that point I'm almost back to flaccid and my foreskin is then pulled back and the head of penis is out.

I then attempted to go back in for another few minutes at around 60-70% with the head of penis still out and wasn't sure if I would have been better waiting for the foreskin to go back to normal before doing another 5 minutes. I've been doing 1 day on, 1 day off with the bathmate as I'm still trying to get to grips with it.

Have you tried the 5×5×3 workout in SRT? You will be working at a higher erection level (about 90 to 95%) but you will see much more expansion with little to no retention. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

In my experience, it should not fall off if it has been pumped... I can pump, then take both hands my off and wash my hair in the shower without it falling.

Unless you’re using maybe the Hydromax9 or larger, the Bathmate should not just fall off... it should be suctioned on!

I do feel that there's a suction as when I am pressing the release valve below the tip I can feel the bellows releasing, however for whatever reason I've still to hold it. Not sure why but maybe I need more time with it.

Gave the 5x5x3 routine a go last night. I only did 2 sets though as this was my first attempt at SSJ's and I don't think I got them down just yet.

Is it okay to do them with the head of my penis not showing and foreskin not pulled back when erect, as its very sensitive to touch or squeeze the head when not circumsized.

I understand this and this is the issue with many men who are uncircumcised. There’s a period of time where it will be uncomfortable but you will get used to it eventually. It’s very important to pull the skin back so you’re not stretching the skin.
 
One last question regarding the bathmate. As I still can't get it to stick to me (I just tried it again tonight), once I've done a few pumps in a row, when I'm simply holding it up for the next 5 minutes is it still working the way it would be if it was staying stuck to me without holding it? I don't feel like its doing much when I'm standing holding it.

Yes that would be the same thing so don’t worry too much on that. Have you tried to smear some Vaseline around the seal?

I have decided to try out ordinary jelqs first instead of SSJ for a few weeks or so. When doing the normal jelqs, does the foreskin have to be pulled back when doing them or is it okay to keep the head covered, still making sure not to jelq past the start of the head.

why do you feel as though you want to do that instead of SSJ? The jelq is a weak exercise and the SSJ is incredible expansion.

In traditional jelqing you want to start at the base and go right below your head.

if you feel like it would benefit me a lot more than traditional jelqs then I shall take your advice and try them out.

p.s I am interested in the silistretcher and was wondering if you were still taking orders/shipping to the UK at the moment? at the moment, whilst being stuck in doors all day, this might be the best time to start with an ADS.

Best way to approach this is using the 5×5×3 that you will find in SRT. The SSJ is superior to jelqing or any other girth exercise. It brings extreme expansion with very little water retention. The whole routine takes 30 minutes. Check it out let me know what you think.

Adding in the SiliStretcher will be a very smart move lengthwise. Once you have that available let me know and I will help you put a customer came together to fit it into your schedule and your goals.
 
Thank you. I've been doing the 5x5x3 at the moment with normal jelqs and bathmate, so I'll start trying it with the SSJ. just to confirm that the only way to complete the SSJ exercise is with the foreskin pulled back whilst erect?

I'm just waiting on my tape being delivered so I can properly measure my flaccid girth before ordering the SiliStretcher, although it'll most likely be the 1.25" model.

1.25 sounds right but like I said measure to be sure. When doing the SlowSquashJelq it doesn’t make a big difference if the skin is pulled back or not because you’re compressing into directions towards the center so skin makes very little difference.

That sounds perfect. Have you looked through all the videos that lightning has created in the store under the product? There should be a video for everything there, if you’re still not seeing it let me know.
 
I've just went and ordered the growth package for the 1.2 and the 1.5! I went for the growth package as I'm hoping and wishing my use of the bathmate and jelqing will start seeing some girth increase in the next few months.

Looking forward to adding this to my routine. I was looking for a video of how to use properly if you have foreskin and I can't seem to find one, but I will search this forum for some advice on that. I'm just unsure when or if you need to expose the foreskin when applying the stretcher.

I am very pleased to hear that you’re using the 5×5×3 it is the best girth routine going. As far as length goes I would use the newbie routine basic stretches until you receive your extender. Once you have that in hand we can revamp your routine. But for the time being basic stretching it’s every possible angle and will keep you on the growth side of things.

so the day has come and my silistretchers have arrived! was hoping I would be able to get some assistance with creating some sort of routine I can start sticking to. I don't seem to have been lucky enough to get any beginner gains from the first 3 months but so far I've been mainly doing girth work so maybe that's why. at the moment i'm doing the 5x5x3 with the bathmate and ssq (although i'm going inbetween normal jelqs and ssj) and I do this usually 6 days a week - 1 day off.

I need to do some reading into the best way to use the silistretcher as a foreskin user before starting as i'm unsure if I pull the foreskin back before using it or not. any help would be great on any of this! thanks!

i’m so glad that you made those newbie gaines, this is the best part of starting off fresh. You should continue with your 5×5×3. What I suggest first is to look at SRT and search out the two hanging routines. One of those may be good for you. Check them out and let me know what you think. In addition to this will include some healing techniques. Please first look at the routine and see if it’s something you will be able to do. If not we can go a different route.
 
Is it the stretching routine on the first page of the SRT page that I should be following? (below where it says Hydrocortisone and Bacitracin)
I'm not too sure where to start with the silistretcher.

should I be manually stretching before applying the silistretcher, also would simply applying the silistretcher and then leaving it on untouched for the hourly periods prevent gains? or should I be doing active stretching with it on?

While you’re beginning you’ll want to do that for stretching routine for the first 2 to 3 weeks. You can use your SS during this time. You can wear it passively or actively, depending on your situation and how much time you have to dedicate. But my opinion at all times you’re not training you should be wearing your SS.

You can use the tape instead of the SiliCap. The tape helps prevents blisters just like the SiliCap. Some people pull the skin back and apply the tape and others pull forward. Each person has a method that works best, there is no right or wrong.
