Getting mails from this site

Hello!

I have recently started to get mails whenever someone posts in a thread.
I don't know why this is happening. I would like to keep my mail empty from information about this site.

Any help? =)

I just followed the tutorial and opted for 'do not subscribe' and I'm still getting all the updates from threads in which I've posted, pushed to me email...very annoying. This is something that has never happened as long as I've been a part of The Brotherhood...just curious if there was some sort of software update that triggered this? I'd like it to stop

Ok...I don't disagree, but even after I followed the above I'm still receiving email notifications. WTF?

You sure you clicked save changes or whatever, check again

Still happening to me too. I didn't activate it in the first place. It started happening, I deactivated it and it's still happening. WTF.

same...tried the tutorial 3 times (saved changes all 3 times) and still...

What I do everyday is simply click the NEW POSTS button at the top and that shows me every thread that was active since my last visit. You can also go into your QUICK LINKS at the top of the page and click "All Subscribed Threads" and this will show you all of your posts and threads chronologically since your last visit. I will also ask LIGHTNING to see if He has any other advice.

The issue has nothing to do with The Forum and the posts made here, the problem is that every time someone makes a comment in a thread that I've participated in, I get an email alerting me that there's been activity. Now, if it was you, there'd be an alert sent to your email every 30 seconds, so you can see how annoying it potentially could be

Follow the directions above :)

Yes, can we just establish that there must be some sort of issue with mattersofsize currently, as it's obvious this is not an issue occurred by the members.
And work on a solution.

Still waiting for LIGHTNING, I will send another message.

If you replied to a post it will usually automatically subscribe.
See what posts are you getting emails from.

Go to "Quick Links" in the menu above
Click "Subscribed Threads"
Check the threads you don't want notifications from
Click "Selected Threads" button at bottom right
Click "Delete Subscription"
Click "Go"

What if we want the notifications only on this website but not our emails. Sorry. I'm going to try this regardless and see what happens.

Btw- Since it happens with every post we post in, we have to do it constantly?

I have over 11 pages of subscribed threads, says 518 in total threads. I'm going to assume that if we delete subscription we can still get notifications some how just through this website alone. Thank you

This is from the boss so it should work. Let us know if there is anything else is going wrong

I believe this will delete subscription on threads that already consists.
But as soon you create a new one, it will autmatically get subscribed and you have to do it over and over again.
Should be a fix for that, like a global quick fix.

Basically, whatever you changed on the site, just change it back because it's pissing people off and they'll eventually leave and traffic will stall.

It's becoming an issue cuz my email gets pushed to my phone...arrrrgh!!!
Your Global setting for Automatic Thread Subscription Mode is set as Do not subscribe, which will prevent from new subscription(s) being created.

Lightning gave instructions on how to Change the individual existing Thread subscription(s)
  • Quick Links [menu]
  • > Subscribed Threads [option]
  • Check the thread(s) [check box]
  • Selected Threads [button]
  • > Delete Subscription if you want to remove them completely OR
Through my control panel only if you want to retain them and not be notified
  • Go [button]

You can also Subscribe to a single Thread for future reference as follows:
  • Thread Tools [menu]
  • > Subscribe to this Thread [option]
  • Notification Type [section]
  • > Through my control panel only [option]
  • Add Subscription [button]
    Notification: None
