Any theories on the heavier 5-5.25" and 5.5-5.75" slots? They seem to defy the conventional wisdom on what is "average" (a little less than 5" I believe?).

I would say 5-5.25" = first plateau after newbie gains

5.25-5.5" = breaking first plateau

5.5-5.75" = second plateau

Etc. That alternating pattern persists through the graph after the 5" slot.

I think 5-5.25 is the natural peak (allowing for a certain amount of rounding up, e.g. 4.8 = 5- the average in tests is about 4.8.)

5.5-5.75 is the people who've done girth growth, it's a natural stopping point, you've gained about an inch, and if you go much bigger then blowjobs may be more problematic.

There's another peak at about 6-6.25, I think that a lot of people seem to think that this is big enough, a decent size.

Then again, this might be completely wrong- 244 is not a particular big sample and it may be that all of the wobble is just random error in the figures- you would expect a fair amount of wobble at these small numbers.

First, there's nothing lionhearted about cutting down another member of this forum.
Second, I think the stats on girth are as screwy as the old "six and a half length is average" BS, relying on self-reporting (the major defect of this poll, which, as noted above, has 18 guys reporting 6.5"+ girth... Shane Diesel wouldn't be famous if such things were that common) and self-measurement.

Before I did any Penis Enlargement, my girth was 124 mm (4.89"). And women used to say I had a fat dick. A lot. Since I was around 6" length, I figured I was average, so I didn't understand when women told me my dick was big. As one was sitting on my cock for the first time, she moaned and said said "oh, a nice big dick." I felt comfortable enough to say to her that it was average, about 6". She stopped, raised herself up off it, grabbed it with her hand, looked at it, and said "that is not average." This woman had been around, and we were just doing a one-time thing, so I knew she had no reason to BS me. She sat back on it and we had a good ol' time.
A girlfriend in my university days got all embarrassed when she wanted to tell me something. It took her a minute to get the information across, even though it was a compliment: I had the biggest dick she had ever seen.
Another girlfriend, who had had a bunch of boyfriends before me, told me I was the second-biggest, and that in terms of dick size, it was basically one guy who was enormous, then me, and then "the rest." That is, mine wasn't the biggest, but it stood out (so to speak) from the crowd. Even when we broke up and she was a total bitch about a lot of things, she told me she was going to miss my "big dick."
Keep in mind, this was all at 6" length and 4.89" girth. And these women weren't saying "your dick is big enough." They were saying "your dick is big."

When I discovered Penis Enlargement, my dick responded really well to simple wet jelqs, and quickly went up to 167 mm (6.57") length, even though I really didn't want any length gains, and 137 mm (5.39") girth. The gains slowed after that, but I am now really close to 5.5" girth, a short-term goal. I'm not sure if I want to go much bigger than that, because I like the way my current gf deep-throats me, and I don't want to make it more difficult. Besides, the gains have been slower and I don't have as much time for Penis Enlargement.

My gf and I have known each other for a long time, and we had sex a lot before our current relationship started. Now it's even thicker, and if she noticed, she didn't say explicitly that it's thicker, but she does talk a lot more about how thick it is and how great it is. She has had bigger. But at just about 5.5" girth, I make her very, very happy.

DLD has a sticky thread somewhere around here analyzing penis length surveys and studies, and he comes to the conclusion that the average penis is probably less than 5.5" long. This is a big deal, since letters to sex magazines, sex stories you can get on the internet, and posts to lots of forums say things like "my dick is only 8 inches long" or "I guess I'm pretty small - only 6 inches." I think DLD should do a similar study of girth, because I think the results would be just as eye-opening. I don't think the average is "nearly 5 inches", because women insisted my dick was thick, even unusually so, when I was at 4.89" girth. Now that I'm at 5.5" girth, women act like my dick is a special treat.

I'm guessing average is less than 4.5", but I admit that's nothing more than a guess.

And anyway, even if vest007 is below average in girth, so what? Something like half the adult male population is too.
Each of us is above average in some things, below average in others. But I think deep down you know that, because cutting down somebody else about something like penis size proves nothing other than that you have some serious insecurities.
I think vest007 is to be commended for being honest about his girth, and I agree with him that a lot of people voting in this poll are full of shit about their girth.

He said 4.5" is enough. And I disagree with that statement. It is not enough. My opinion. I have length of 5.25" which is below average and that is currently the biggest problem in my life. So I can never be satisfied with it. I want it at least to be average. Was just wondering how other member can be pleased with that much girth. First time I hear that. No offense taken.

I agree with you guys. I think thick girth penises are rare--rarer than long dicks. 5" is a thick dick. No doubt about it. 6" and up is truly rare. Ed and I are lucky in that regard.

And DLD has said many times that we tend to exaggerate. It's a guy thing.
