Breaking Up Scar Tissue

Hey. I hurt my foot pretty seriously about a year ago, with some torn ligaments and maybe broken bones. Since then I've had a pretty serious amount of scar tissue right around my instep.

I was wondering if there was anyone here who was successful in breaking up their own scar tissue. Either with drugs or with exercises. I'm considering drugs like IGF-LR3, POTABA, Neprinol, DMSO.

Hey man.

No one else answered your thread so Ill give it a go. You may know a whole lot more than I do but I'll share what I know.

If your foot is fully healed (except for scar tissue) you need to develop a full range of motion. The most simple way to do this with feet (or hands) is to slowly run your feet, toes and ankles through a serious of motions that fully extend every angle your foot can make. Simple.

Second is to do the same thing, this time with reistance, be it a dynaband or your hand. Just hold your foot and make it work harder (progressively) through its full range of motions.

As you do this you may find you need more resistance than your hand can give. On a gym mat roll your foot through a variety of angles, again prograssively add weight (stand on it more). Angles should include: kneeling so the top of your foot is on the mat with your toes curled in both directions, your foot making a complete arch in both directions etc.

The next step is to take a tennis ball. Place it under your foot. Stand with most of your weight on your "good" foot and roll the ball under your foot. Progesively add weight so that the ball is forcing the bones in your foot to move around.

Your goal is the get as much blood thorugh the region, while excercising it and scrub away the scar tissue.

You should use bio-oil, or cut open vitamin E capsules and massage the effected area. The more the better! Also the use of tigger balm etc can be helpful.

This is all assuming the scaring is internal? If not just do the stuff in the last paragraph.

Peace
