If i was a newbie i would start with basic stretching/jelqing for the first few months to get some conditioning then move on to hanging,the down side to hanging is the amount of time it takes.
I've made most of my gains with jelqing, and about half an inch more once I started Newbie-style stretching. I didn't try hanging for long enough to make any real gains, but I could tell from the little bit I did that it's probably the best way. This summer I plan on starting back with hanging so I can get that last .75" I'm after.

Yeah thats what happened to me.. I made about 1.25" gain with manuals and I've been holding steady for the last few months.. Im going to save for a Bib Hanger..
I've made 1.75 inches in length gains manually, but with the kind of schedule I have currently, I kind of need my hands to write, type, and read whenever I can so manual stretching really isn't an option for me right now anyway. I've made .25 BP EL from hanging so far. But you are right it does take a long time to make substantial gains in length from hanging. But I wonder if it is just because people start doing manual Penis Enlargement more often than they do start out their Penis Enlargement life with hanging.
So far, I have gained over 1.5" of length from hanging. Last big length gain was last year in a three month window. I deserved it though, I was hanging 3-4 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Thats 9-12 20 minute sets. Gained 3/4" of length in that time.

I've tried them three and I also think they suck. They can be used as a supplement to girth work but that's about it. Taken on their own they will do diddley squat!
I voted for manual stretching but only because I have only just recieved my [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]power assist[/words] and am just starting to get to grips with it. Even though I've only just got it I already love it. I think it will be a long serving friend.
