I wouldn't recommend it. There could be a potential loss of pressure or other problems that come with taking anything apart. The ring around the top of the gaiter is a tight fit, so trying to get it back on could also cause more damage to it.

Hi, Craig here from Bathmate. Gaiter bite is while pumping the gaiter nips you, if you choose the Hydromax X30 it comes with a comfort insert to help prevent this. Hope this helps!
