Was outside after I got off work, playing with my cat. :D And my mom was talkin to our neighbor. Suddenly we're like "Do you smell that? It smell like burning rubber." Sure nuff down the street there's a huge cloud of black smoke comming from behind a house. So my mom tells me to go check it out and so I start off to look behind this house. Well once I'm back there, huge flames are comming from the woods behind the house. Run halfway back down the street and yell "Call the Fire Dept!" and run back to the woods to see if I can do anything. So I run down in the woods and start throwing all the brush and stuff out of the way. Got a few branches and someone had driven by and saw me so they decided to help. So both of us are trying to pull back all the small trees and wood laying around so the fire doesn't spread. Soon afterwards we head out of the woods to try and find a hose to put this thing out before someone's house catches on fire. So all the neighbors in the area get all the water hoses they can and we hook them up. Before we got like half way down the hill to the woods though the Fire Dept. arrives. So we pull the hose back and let them do their job. After about 20 minutes they get the fire completely out and start packin up.

Since I know all the kids in the area, I will find the person who started the fire and turn them in. Got a pic of my left knee, worst of my wounds, but other then that, I got minor scratches and burned my hands when I was trying to pull the brush back. Doesn't look too bad, I just got out of the shower when I took the pic but the lacerations are pretty deep and were bleeding like hell at first.

Goin back out there now, to see if anyone shows up. They'll get a beat-down and then get drug back to my house til I can call the cops.

This story reminds me of something very stupid I did as a kid. I was about 10-11 years old I would guess. Me and my buddy set a fire in a creek bed behind a row of houses that we lived in and then left for a couple hours. It was the middle of summer in Oklahoma and it was dry as hell outside. We came back to a blazing fire that was really huge! We kinda freaked out but we started putting the fire out. We got buckets and poured creek water on it and stomped out a lot of it. Some more people came and helped us. We were like heroes even though we started the fire!

Hehe, I did the same thing when I was 7 or 8. Started a fire in the woods and then tried to put it out. 2 hours later the Fire Dept. was there putting half the woods out. =/ I learned my lesson though, and hoping turning in the person will teach them. I rather have them get charged with somthin minor, cuz if they continue to play with fire I could turn into areson, or even murder.
