When is America going to stand up for itself!?

America is the new Evil Empire.

(Note: Just in case you didn't know, 'Evil Empire' was a term used to commonly describe the monolithic entity known as the Soviet Union. Just as we were awed and afraid of the USSR in it's prime, others today view the United States just the same way.)

And I personally do believe that we're treading on thin ice as a nation, that we're over-stepping our boundaries. Yes, we are the most powerful nation on Earth, militarily, but no one gave us the moral authority to police the World. We do not hold the standard in morality - instead we are covertly colonizing (strateigically and economically) important areas behind the shield of 'moral justice'.

And yes, the Taiban-Afghani government deserved to be punished for what they did in NYC. But we the U.S. went too far when we invaded Iraq. Had we ousted Saddam Hussein in conjunction with the U.N. and Europe we wouldn't be in this lonely quandry right now, where American soliders are dying daily trying to keep control in former-Mesopotamia.

I completely agree. If you look back in history, the entire middle east rarely has a times of peace. The US shouldn't try to solve the problems over there. Our presence over there got us into trouble in the first place. The terrorists actions(including 9/11) happened because they want us to stay out of their business. If you ask me, thats the best way to fight terrorism. Just stay out of that region. We've provoked them to the point of terrorism.

It's kind of like playing in a sandbox as a kid. There a big bully that comes drops by and kicks sand at you, over and over again. Eventually, you are going to go over to his sand box and dump a pail of sand on his head. Then he's going to come back and kick your ass, lol. Could have all been avoided if the bully didn't start it in the first place. Can you guess who the bully is? :D

If you ask many other countries what they think of the United States, they usually don't have much positive to say about us. I'm pretty sure there are some foreign posters here that would agree.

Well, I'm afraid to disagree with Israeli sympathizers because I'll get BANNED (like in some other forums).
