This is a brief thread regarding mostly ligaments but also tendons and is covering the whole range and not one area specific, so this can be used to boost our knowledge of the penile structures and how better to target it.

Firstly lets talk about ligaments.

The ligaments help to stabilize and reinforce your joints by connecting bone to bone. Your ligaments can take an enormous amount of force for a very brief time and if the force is not removed, the ligament will tear or rupture.

If a ligament is damaged it usually takes between eight to twelve weeks for it to regain its strength. During that time your joint must be protected and supported by either taping it or using a brace [Doesnt apply to Penis Enlargement].

When your ligaments are put under stress by incorrect stretching, they will gradually elongate. As the ligament elongates it becomes weaker and is unable to properly bind the bones of the joint that it is suppose to support.

If the ligament is continually put under stress by repetitive stretching beyond the ligaments tensile strength, it can become permanently elongated and can lead to chronic inflammation which may lead to arthritis.

Ligament healing times

Ligament injuries anywhere in the body are much more serious than muscle injuries. Muscles have a tremendous blood supply and heal very quickly. Even if the muscle injury does not completely heal, the only symptom that you would notice would be weakness in the muscle. With some exercise, even that symptom would resolve.

This is not the case with ligaments.

Ligament injuries are different because most of them do not totally heal Even if the pain resolves, the ligament will not be as strong as it was prior to the injury. Since ligaments stabilize the joints, by definition ligament injury produces a loose joint. If the ligament never heals, chronic joint looseness or instability results.

Injured ligaments do not entirely regenerate. Rather, they repair with scar tissue. Repair and regeneration begin at 48 hours to 72 hours post-injury, and continue maximally for six weeks.

Minor damage will heal within 7 to 10 days. More severe damage can take three weeks, and up to six weeks to be fully strong and completely back to normal.

What does this mean for us?

What this means is that with regards to the penis we're in a very good position to take advantage of the ligaments healing and growth potential.
They elongate from intense stretching, which to us is more growth.

Ligament healing and growth would commence 48 hours from the damage to the ligaments, I say damage but dont take as literal because the damage is good damage for us, a stress or stimulus could be used instead.

From those 48 hours it could take anywhere upto 3-6 weeks for the 'damage' to be healed and new growth to have occured fully.

What this tells me is that those who say you must stretch your penis everyday like 5 days on 2 off or 7 on and none off are actually missing the boat with this one as they ligs wont grow any quicker from all that work placed upon them, with the minimum healing cycle starting at 48 hours post workout.

It would make sense to have a full day off from an intense length workout before starting it again. I usually take 2 days off after an intense length session and than get back into it again and I'm noticing good progress already from doing this in longer flaccid and erection length.

Ligament soreness is still present in my penile region from 2 days ago now, as I type this ... so that is telling you something about recovery, healing and than the growth phase. Doing too much is bad and you will yield NOTHING in gains as the body can only cope with so much before it says ''Enough is enough'' and it works against you.

Knowing this information on our ligaments, which isnt my opinion but fact and well known in the sports world can help us much more on our path to longer dicks.

Guys who do or did stretching everyday and gained well, how could one explain them for that? They had above average recovery and healing abilities or the stress imposed on the area to the ligaments wasnt as intense to warrant the longer recovery phase otherwise they would not be able to do 7 on for years on end without a negative cycle kicking in at some point.

So think about it >
Minor damage will heal within 7 to 10 days. More severe damage can take three weeks, and up to six weeks to be fully strong and completely back to normal.
Very intense stretching of the penile ligaments would not need to be done eachday as you can see, ligaments take awhile to recover back to normal so those who seem to think that you must rush and be quick to prevent the ligaments from becoming strong and harder to work, is wrong as it takes 3-6 weeks for them to fully recover! and you can have days off, it would benefit you to take days off and rest but dont think those days off are bad and that the ligaments will suddenly heal up and become stronger than before that quickly, because they wont. Its like a 3-6 week window of opportunity to make the most of, this is what I think anyway from the medical research I have done.

Lastly tendons

I will briefly touch upon tendons because they are often misunderstood in the world of pe.

Tendons are the most inelastic connective tissue in your body, and they attach your muscles to your bones.

All muscles have a tendon of origin, which is attached to the more stable bone and a tendon of insertion which is attached to the more moveable bone.

Tendons are stronger than both the muscle and the bone covering that it attaches to. Tendons can be torn or ruptured if loaded beyond their strength but since they are very strong, what usually happens is the muscle tissue or the bone covering tears before the tendon.

What all this really means is that tendons can not be stretched.

Hope this thread has helped you guys :)

Excellent information!

I've found that taking a full week off every six weeks helps to speed full healing and recovery from the cululative effects of Penis Enlargement, and a lot of men show a spurt of gains after this layoff.

excellent Red!

Maybe its time for me to try working a little smarter rather than harder...

good post red...i think it is always a good idea to take a little break here and there to let things heal and regenerate..you wouldnt keep working the same body part in the gym every day without rest..same goes for pe i think...taking a week off here and there is a great idea...

I didnt include the ligaments of the penis, so here they are.

Distal ligament [This acts as a trunk for the glans 'head']

Fundiform ligament [Encircle the root of the penis and keeps it attached]

Suspensory ligaments [Starts downward from the lower end and forms a strong fibrous band which extends to the upper surface of the root where it blends with the fascial sheath of the organ]

We target the Suspensory ligament when we stretch and its this which is cut on penile surgeries. Its triangular in shape, stretching from left to right at its widest point, the pubis region.

Knowing all the above it places more knowledge into our heads that we dont just have one ligament to attack. The suspesory is the first choice and the one that should be the goal of us all but when you get to dld's size and advancement you could start to target the Fundiform ligament, which he probably already does with expressive stretching because that is placing the region under immense stress to reveal the inner penis.

The Distal ligament probably does get stretched and we didnt realise we were doing it, because the suspensory gets all the attention. So in theory you could stretch underneath your glans to target that ligament for some extra length.

I don't think I'm interpreting this data the same way. To me the "injury" is caused over time: not just one day of stretching. It's done on a very low level, perhaps one thousandth of an inch per session. Such a small "injury" might repair very quickly (micro-heal: like a pin-prick versus a cut). Therefore, I think it's better to stretch daily to prevent this micro-healing. Better to keep the injury going.

Hey Red,I was doing a basic Stretching routine and I really felt a great burn in the left side of the penis base while stretching to the right.

When I was done stretching it seemed like the left side was a bit longer than the right side and I was about 0.2 inches longer If I pulled my dick to the right side.

You said that the Ligs are triangular, according to that statement I should be stretching my left lig by doing stretches to the right.

Comment?

Sounds like your doing fine from what you said. The penile suspensory ligament is triangular in shape, stretching from left to right at its widest point, the pubis region.

Thanks for the info bro :)

So my left/right stretching is targeting the ligaments like no other excercise Ive tried:)

Perhaps this information could be useful for Hanging...?

I think it would depend on your intensity and the volume of work your doing plus remember you will eventually over train the ligaments and cause injury if they are stretched daily for a considerable length of time.

The more is better attitude is wrong imho, and so too is less is better, but the right amount is BEST which is enough stimulation, that's all it is .. STIMULATION of stretching the ligaments out to the max feeling that burn and than allowing time for recovery and growth which doesn't happen unless rest is taken and that is more than a nights sleep.

Again the thought of the ''injury'' being caused over time and not one day of stretching is not logical thinking, because this isn't endurance or high volume training but to get the ligaments stimulated to elongate into permanent new growth and to do that, one need do one day of INTENSE stretching like I always write about, feeling the burn and isolating the ligs really well, than take a day or two rest and go again.

Doing more stimulation wont get more gains and its like when someone likes jelly beans, he keeps eating them which is fine so long as he doesn't have too many and they are nice in moderation but the greedy kid keeps eating them and eventually he gets sick ... same applies here with PE.. doing it everyday for long periods of time isn't going to work as in time the guy will hurt himself as not enough time has been allowed for recovery of the damaged penis or even something else could happen incl plateaus caused by not enough rest for growth to occur and mental problems most men seem to get in this sport from not seeing fast gains and having long periods of no gains.

Solution is simple ... take an extended break from Penis Enlargement and comeback fresh with fire in your belly using LOGICAL thinking to your training, which is the right balance of stimulation and rest .. than you will see the gains come and I PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH because as you may have seen recently, I have gone from 8-8.3 in erect length during 8 weeks of 19 sessions in which it averaged 2 sessions per week ... not bad.

I appreciate your input and respect your thoughts on the subject but hope to inform guys of smarter ways to train the penis than doing the usual must do 5-7 days routines.

You are doing my job, thanks Red, I can use all the help I can!

If you have a read through this thread, you will learn allot about how to attack the penis for gains.

For example, we read allot about expressive stretching these days :) and hidden penis :)

The lengthmaster I feel would be ideal to attack that, but putting equipment (tools) to one side, let me point out that we have an important ligament in the root area of the penis, internally that helps keep it attached.

This is called the Fundiform ligament, and when you do any expressive-based stretch, you will be targeting it.

With expressive work though, we wont to encourage growth externally from the mass of internal penile tissue we have, so its not just lets attack the ligaments, but knowing a ligament is in that area, will help structure a routine to deal with it.

Once you start to feel inner penis, in the area between the anus & balls, this can be seen when your erect and kegel in front of a mirror lay down ... like a small tube underneath the skin in that area.

This is now time to use expressive stretching to bring that from internal, into external penis.

This was written in 2009, and now 9 years on what I can add to this (confused);)

Well, once you have worked the penis structures, like the ligaments with intense stretching, or hanging, it would be beneficial to use extenders in the time between sessions for as long as possible to keep in that elongated, extended state, where the healing & growth takes place.

I still stand by what I wrote 9 years ago, but now we can take advantage of this, and in the rest between using the heavy hitters so to speak, like lengthmaster stretching, hanging weights, pumping, or manual work that is intense, when your not doing that stuff ... so the time your away from all that, using the extender would be priceless!

If the extender can be used at night, more the better.

This is because the stress from the extender is not like that with hanging, lengthmaster, and other intense workouts or devices, but a lighter controlled tension that uses time under tension using torsion to bring about changes in penis size.

So think about it .... your penis is knackered from 3 days of solid hanging, lengthmaster workout, and manual stretching.

You are going to rest the next 3 days, but you will be using the extender the whole time, and more on those rest days to help with the growth phase, and for those that like to train 5 on 2 off or 7 on all the time, using the extender in between sessions is valuable.
