Here's a journal article I came across that I found interesting.....but its only one journal and one finding.......but this is why where here..

What importance do women attribute to the size of the penis ? Francken AB, van de Wiel HB, van Driel MF, Weijmar Schultz WC.

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Groningen University Hospital, P.O. Box 30.001, 9700 RB Groningen, The Netherlands.

OBJECTIVE: A great deal of men consider that the size of the penis is directly proportional to its sexual power. Some men, who are worried that their penis is too small, wish to be considered for surgical lengthening or thickening procedures. The argumentation for this chiefly points in the direction of women. However, have women actually been asked about the extent to which they consider the size of the penis to be of importance from a sexual point of view? Or asked what they think about ideas surrounding the size of the penis in relation with actual sexual functioning? PATIENTS AND METHODS: To address these questions, 375 sexually active women who had recently given birth at the University Hospital Groningen were asked a number of questions about sexual functioning and the importance they attach to the size of their partner's penis. RESULTS: A total of 170 questionnaires were returned (response rate 45%); 20% of the women found the length of the penis important and 1% very important; 55% and 22% of the women found the length of the penis unimportant and totally unimportant, respectively. Opinions about the girth of the penis followed the same trend. Length was less important than girth: 21% and 32%, respectively. The women who found the girth of the penis important had the same opinion about the length of the penis (correlation 0.71, p=-0.001). Median division into two subgroups (girth important/unimportant; t-test) did not reveal any significant differences in relation with demographic data. Correlation analysis did not reveal any significant correlation between sexual functioning (measured with the NSF) and opinions about the girth of the penis. CONCLUSION: Although clearly in the minority, a nevertheless considerable percentage of the women respondents attached substantial importance to the size of the male sexual organ

Women never seem to know what they want until it is handed to them. Plus, if you were to do the same poll and ask them whether or not their husband's financial situation was important then what do you think they would say?

Also, unless a questionaire based study is done with a lie detector handy, I have basically no faith in those surveys because both men and women will lie to themselves rather than deal with the truth.

Get 100 regular gals together and force them to answer these questions under a lie detector test, and I suspect you will get much different answers from those who don't fail outright and for those who do fail, well they realize such things as penis size and checkbook size are important just they do not want to admit it.

And of that 45% that did not return the survey, well they probably wish their husbands had bigger penises (-:

Exactly!

Its such ashame you can describe what a woman wants in 2 stupid things "Bick Penis", "big Wallet".
Pretty much sums up Majority of what women see in a bloke.

This is just human nature and evolutionary psychology if you ask me. Of course, not all women think like this, but that is not due to accident but rather social and religious conditioning.

Kinda like Buddhist monks can train their minds to pretty much be the opposite of hedonistic even though it is natural for people to be hedonistic.

The difference between the human race living in caves and men living in cities lies somewhere in between, but recent popular culture trends I believe are about exploiting primal instincts in humans for profit while downlplaying religion, morals, and civility because they are the road blocks to profit.

Men are naturally very competitive with each other as it is and having a media which in effect constantly bombards men with programmatic images that they must be tall, wealthy, have a bunch of degrees, and have a big unit to get women as opposed to say being an original guy with his own plan in life. The pressure for men to conform to a media driven ideal becomes even greater when women are taught by popular culture to value unrealistic ideals of what an attractive man is (rather than letting their own feelings dictate attraction), and so basically the sexes are reduced almost to nothing more than something mechanical you can buy at a store to entertain you.

Also, there have always been exploiters in world history actively looking to seduce the younger generations into the lure of quick profits and instant gratification, but you had parents who were around more often in the life of their children to teach them right from wrong and instruct them as best as they could in avoiding slicksters and people who are out there just looking to use you. Unfortunately, the closest thing to a real parent a lot of kids have these days with both parents working, most parents divorced or sometimes not even in the picture, is the television acting as a nanny.

Children NEED both parents actively in their lives and that does not mean married parents get off the hook because many of them are too disinterested in the lives of their children to really know what the hell their kids are doing in the first place. Until this cycle is broken you will have the majority of men and women evaluating the opposite sex exclusively on matters of primal desires, rather than bringing in such factors as character and values into the equation when judging the opposite sex as being a mate worthy of your companionship.

If there is no loyalty between men and women then relationships are nothing more than people using people out of convenience while always looking for the bigger and better deal to upgrade to.

Interesting, why would they want to do this?

My point is if you told DLD that you thought girl with big fat nice asses were disgusting and large assed women were so not cool, he would look at you and say so fucking what and continue to jack off

Damn straight:D

I think this is a very brief summary of the study, but nowhere is there mention of actual sizes; just if size is important.

MCFTB, Great post i know what your saying, its how the society we live in today has crafted people into thinking/doing it really is a fucked up world we are living in.
It seems almost as if love is something non-existant, like how we see each other a new means of survival and pleasure, how most married couple dont stay married as the "love" novelty wears off (if you wanna call it love).
i can see myself going way off topic with some fucked up views i have on life so ill stop now :)

Don't know...to me that is completely the opposite of life. It's sterility to all things...either way there has to be some kind of frustration stage to get to the point where it is wanted so in a way it becomes their pleasure. If they didn't get something out of it I'd think a monk's life expectancy wouldn't be that long.

OK, I know that was just an abstract that was quoted but c'mon... that was one crappy study. Since no sizes are mentioned and the sexual habits of the respondents are nowhere to be found it says absolutely nothing. Unless someone actually sets up a study where women have to try out different sizes (dildos) and give their honest reaction to them (without knowing the specifics of each dildo, i.e. what the length and girth are) it won't mean squat. I actually thought this matter was kind of old. Size does matter, we just don't know where it starts to.
