Weightlifting and squat every day. (bulgarian style)

Someone in here that does olympic weightlifting and have tried squatting heavy singles (or double or tripples) everyday. (or multiple times a day.)


i tried this squattingregim for a couple of months and all in all i gained a good 25 lbs 1rm and around 2" in circumference around The tighs.

gave good help for the bottomposition in the snatch and leg felt strong as hell.

anyone else tried ?

Yes, I've done a Smolov squat training program twice and it is brutal. Ratcheting weight, 4x per week. It can add 100 lb to your squat
 
I fucking hate Smolov and Smolov junior. Felt so WASTED at the end of each session.

I'm still rehabbing an injury so I won't be doing any powerlifting programming for a while. Truth be told, I could care less if I ever compete again and my goals for my training is solely longevity and raw strength. I don't even bench press anymore.

Right now I am running one of Jim Wendler' Beyond 531 program- Full Body, Full Boring.

I squat (low bar), Press (Tommy Suggs style) and Deadlift (hook grip, I finally see the shoulder asymmetry from years of mixed grip pulling ) every workout and I love it.

The eastern bloc style of training works though...if they dont waste you. I personally love the Sheiko approach. I love how concise his spreadsheets are. I ran Sheiko #29 when I first started training and...I can't remember the other one prior to my last few meets.
 
i have read about alot of People that have done tremendous pr with everyday squatting.

I seem to get much better form too.

practice makes perfect :)

I retouched smolov once and did it everyday.
i maybe Made the program with 85%1rm instead of 100%. Made decent gains anyway.

I've been on reddit and read somewhere where a guy did squats every day for idk how many days, apparently it helped him go up in his 1rpm
