So....I originally posted a month or so ago about how hard the veins were during pumping. I got some great advice: I was using too much pressure. I have gone for very low pressure and spread it out and am gaining the thickness i like. Now though, i have big veins popping up on one side of my dick. I've always been somewhat veiny and about 2 yrs ago using a metal shaft ring that was too small and popped major veins. It freaked me out enough to go to my uro doc who said it was no big deal and to rest it. So, I rested it. it went away
Until now. When pumping, the veins start to resurface, I stop and they go away. I stop the second I see them.

Is this normal? pump related or just related to my old "injury".

Glad to hear everything worked out for you brother! Yeah the veins will definitely be more pronounced when pumping, it's completely normal, and as long as you are not using too much pressure it won't cause any problems. It's expanding the smooth muscle in your veins and arteries, and improving your blood flow which leads to gains and better EQ. Just keep an eye out for any sign of damage like the hard veins, unusual discoloration, or a lump in the vein, etc.

I was contemplating going harder on pressure actually but reading this I'll keep myself in check and stick with what feels good instead of uncomfortable or painful.

If there is no pain or hardness to the vein I would not worry. There will be soreness at the base, which is normal but if there is pain and hardness to the vein than I would use the Thrombosis treatment.
