I have been useing Olive Oil for awhile now on my skin incl my face.
This is the cooking olive oil you get but it has to be either virgin or extra virgin.
Already I notice a better complexion and less fine lines. The stuff has helped me tan better too.

A great cheap skin care product that is natural and known around the world for its great health benefits.

Read more here and here

Also makes a great lube for jelqs and sex :)

Olive oil is great stuff....but it is alot known to limit 5 alpha reductase conversion of testosterone to dht.

In other words, olive oil is a dht blocker

Limiting DHT would be good when applied to the hair as too much DHT causes male pattern baldness and prostate problems. I will look into studies on this than and assume the dosages used would have been very large, as the southern nations of Europe who consume this stuff by the gallons both orally and on the skin are anything but lacking in hair and virility [lack of testosterone].

I agree Red.

From all the studying I've done on wieners it seems that DHT is extremely important within the genitals so I've been working on keeping my DHT levels up by using quality trib products and avoiding DHT blockers...once you start searching around it seems that every damned food or supplement is claimed to be a DHT blocker.

Good thing this is part of my home-made body lotion (which is great for jelqing :p). I have plenty of leftover EVOO for my face, since I would never use the body lotion mixture with my pores.

So another words if you have to much DHT you can go bald or start to see your hair on your head to thin?

So by using it on your head if you are bald or have or starting with male pattern baldness its possible to block the DHT and regrow hair? But one would also have to find something to unclog your pores on your head so new hair can grow and develop.

Lets face it all the shampoos out that that aren't organic and made from stuff in nature are filled with things not supposed to be used on our head and skin, chemicals and etc.

If you want to live a healthy lifestyle think about this if you wouldn't eat it why would you put in on your skin?

If you had dry skin would you eat lotion? or if you had a rash would you eat the medicine?

Quick update. I have noticed since useing olive oil on my skin daily several times for the past month or so that my complexion is miles better than it ever was. My skin glows. Fine lines are reduced and it just looks more younger looing, even though I'm only 25. I use extra virgin olive oil.

I have never read it helps with acne or bags under the eyes but I have also had bags under the eyes and they seem ot be going less and less with this stuff, so maybe?

Let me tell you a trick. I know it from girlfreinds who were working in the beuty field, so useful to know. Massage your face cheeks gently with two fingers. Use the olive oil and massage around them. The area below your eyes and around the cheekbone, get those bag areas too.

I do that for about 5 minutes non-stop and notice a good glow from the circulation. I than tap underneath the eyes where the bags are and sometimes fluid in the mornings, to encourage circulation to remove them. You dont need to tap hard with the tips of two of your fingers.

Than rub with olive oil on your hands, again two fingers each hand is best from closest the nose, nearest the corner of the eye going towards the ear. So bringing your fingers across your face underneath your eyes. Sure you have seen women and girls rub stuff on the face? they do it in a certain fashion, well thats why. You need to rub like that otherwise it doesnt work .. dont know why.

Let me know how it goes and purchase virgin or extra virgin olive oil, not the concentrated stuff.

I'm getting comments about how radient and glowing plus the smoothness my face looks since useing Olive Oil.

I have another natural cooking product that I'm going to try this week on my face, this time for fine lines, dark bags under the eyes & fluid underneath the eyes.

Will mention more in another thread on this.

I would like to use Olive oil, but I was thinking if it becomes rancid too quick on room temperature (you know, bad smell, not looking clear)? Or do you keep it in refrigerator?

RED good thread, I been using olive oil since this thread came out on my face and my skin glows now. That gives some extra confidence. It faded away some of my acne scars I have had since about 15 years old. RED said it a good lube but be careful LMAO its to good. I edged with it a few time a your unit will become super sensitive with this on it.

Great to read you have had such results. What would the girls say if they knew this little secret? saves tons of money on all them rip-off face creams.

I also rub some Olive oil into my hair when applying gel to it. Heres my method.

1} Wet the hair and dry off so its damp.

2} Apply the Olive oil all over the hair and massage into scalp.

3} Now apply your favoured Gel to the hair and style it.

4} Apply a TINY amount of Olive oil to the tips of your fingers and just go over the edges of the hair. This is for my style as its a more curled-spikey look.

5} You can than spray a SMALL amount of hair spray around the region for extra hold.

Thats it. I find that the Olive oil helps keep the SHINE and the wet look without looking like you have fell into a chip pan [Greasy] unless you apply too much, because you really dont need much at all ... goes along way.

BRILLIANT at keeping the hair healthy looking, radiant, shiny with that wet look in hot weather ... I kid you not when it was like 32 degrees celcius the otherweek my hair usually dries up and looks shitty but with this method it looked GREAT all day and kept its shine and wet look in that humid hot weather.

Olive oil is used allot in Southern Europe on the hair because of the warm climate.

do you not smell a bit like chip fat/salad dressing with all the olive oil?

Just a serious question - thanks for the info though might use it at night on all the excess skin on my belly!

I never find it a problem but yes I do it at night usually and at the moment I'm free allot so I'm not always going near people with it on. I wouldnt think it wise to wear this stuff on your face in the day as it can look greasy, plus if it does run into your eyes it stings like a bitch!

My skin is really smooth though from this and now I'm testing something else natural in a week.
