TSA surprisingly unconcerned with baggage tampering
WRTV-TV 6 Indianapolis |
"A Bloomington man says he believes airport personnel have some explaining to do after he found a pair of wire cutters in his luggage after a flight. David Grindle said he found the cutters after a recent plane ride from Indianapolis to Tampa, Fla. The cutters, he said, don't belong to him or his wife... Screeners with the Transportation Security Administration had searched the bag at random... 'We're not sure how the cutters got in his luggage. Indianapolis screeners are not using wire cutters,' the spokeswoman said. Grindle's discovery was the second time a Bloomington resident reported finding an unfamiliar object in his luggage after a flight. In May, George Theodore said he found a homemade 10-inch knife in his suitcase after a trip from San Diego to Indianapolis." [Homemade?]
