Does anyone else have this problem? The only way I can be sure I've got it singled out is to get at least a partial erection so that I can see and/or feel my penis flex.

Otherwise, I tend to end up flexing a muscle just above my taint.

I guess I'm also asking how all you guys isolate your PC so you can exercise it without having to be hard.

Easiest way for me to learn how to specifically isolate the muscles is to stop my urine flow several times while taking a leak. That worked for me.

I've got no problem halting urine flow, especially since it gives a visual que to when I've got the muscle, but once I step out of the bathroom, I'm finding it difficult (not impossible) to focus on my PC.

man, don`t focus on your PC, focus on your penis and the way the PC is pumping blood in it.

This is your PC, the muscle body that stops and pushes the flow of urine.

You should learn the muscle and how to use it if you're going to attempt to strengthen it. It's good for more reasons than the inflow. Kegeling is also great for the prostate, and can help with erection strength and orgasm control.

But I have no easier step than the one you've tried already. That worked for me.
