"I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he's done such great things about terrorism, he ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11. Maybe, we'll never know."
-Richard Clarke, Top Terrorism Czar for 30 years, who served under R.Reagen, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and current Pres. George W. Bush.

Richard Clarke has been a public servant for over 30 years. He has dedicated his life to battling terrorism under both Democrats and Republicans alike. He is a registered Republican. The only critisism that could be placed on his job preformance, was being TOO obsessed with Terrorism.

He also commeneted on the mis-leading of this Admins. to link Iraq with Al-Qaeda.

"Basically, the president botched the response to 9/11. He should have gone right after Afghanistan, right after bin Laden. And then he made the whole war on terrorism so much worse by invading Iraq,"-Clarke.

"I think we could have had a good chance to get bin Laden, to get the leadership and wipe the whole organization out if we had gone in immediately and gone after him."-Clarke

Clarke also said, Bush has "inflamed the Arab world and created a whole new generation of al Qaeda terrorists."

He added, "U.S. soldiers went to their deaths in Iraq thinking that they were avenging 9/11 when Iraq had nothing do with it."

This basically confirmed every belief I had about the Bush Admins. They had a preconviction to go to war w/ Iraq, no matter what. No matter what the terrorist connection, which was non-existant, and no matter how flawed the WMD intelligence was. Iraq has been a distraction from the the REAL terrorist and 100's of billions of waste in taxpayer money. But of course this Admins still has time to give excessive unfair tax-cuts for the wealthy, and lucretive no-bid military gov. contracts to Halliburton.

This Admins ignored the threat from day one. Their obsession with Iraq distracted them from OBL and Al-Qaeda despite frequent warnings from top officials. This myth of Bush being some Great Terrorism War President is laughable. He has failed in the War on Terror.

It certainly seems so. He's workinng hard to portray himself as our only chance against terrorists, accusing John Kerry of being weak, as well as endorsing some GOP sponsored adds that nearly accuse Kerry of being a terrorist sympathizer. It would almost be funny if the thought of four more years of the the most idealogical and corporate administration in the nation's history weren't so frightening. How Bush hides the facts that we don't have Bin Laden, there are soldiers being shot down in Iraq and Afghanistan everyday, and we haven't even come close to breaking down Al Queda, is beyond me. We're not winning the war on terrorism, we're flailing around and praying we're hitting something worthwhile.

There's is fault to go around the table. Of course we can look back and say Clinton could have done more, and Bush could have done something besides nothing.

But the FACT that Bush was SO obsessed with Iraq is now transparent and obvious. This testimony proves all other allegations, like Tres. of Sec. Paul O'Neill, that this Admin was going to Iraq from day one. No matter how flimsy the WMD argument was. 9/11 was just a golden opportunity to play on the tragedy and fear.

Dosent it seem like Bush is picking up right where his dad left off? Everything from going to Iraq, to going back to Mars. They picked up right where Bush1 left off, and with Cheney as VP, its pretty obvious Bush is just the face, and he's not running shit.

I truly believe Bush (not necessarily Repubs) is picking up the Right Wing and NeoCon agenda, that was haulted after Bush1 got booted and Clinton was elected. An agenda that was started during the Reagen Presidency.
