i really have to disagree with this list. I dont know who selected it, but somehow I doubt it a general survey of rap fans. Maybe a survey of source's readers or source's editors favorite.

Only 3 2pac songs on the list and he is accepted by most as the greatest rapper of all time. There are also too many old school rap songs at the top. These songs should be respected for defining a genre, but by no means should they be considered some of the best rap songs made. Rap was forming back then and wasnt refined until the mid 90's. This was the best time for rap, imo. Some of the songs need to be moved up and some just need to be taken off.

where is victory? dangerous? notorious(the song)?
those are just some of the popular ones that would be on the list.

some others that probably don't meet the 'standards' for this list, whether they are too new or just never made it to the billboards, are:
"Gravel Pit" - WuTang
"Superthug" - Noreaga
"Fuck Dying" - Ice Cube
"Run, Rabbit, Run" - Eminem
"My Words are Weapons" - D12
"Stop Being Greedy" - DMX
"Shit on You" - D12

Just about any 2pac song, but the top ones being: Life Goes On, California Love, Hit 'em up, Changes, Gangsta Party, and the list goes on and on

just my opinion... consider the source, a 21 year old white kid, lol
and jeez, Puff Daddy does not belong on this list!

Man some of those songs brought back hella memories! I wish I was a kid again! *sigh* :(
