A few thought-provoking thoughts:

I was watching an episode of CSI one night and there was a girl about the age of 16 or so on it... Durring one part of the show, this girl was being interigated and asked to confess if she new anything about her father killing the mother, but while they where asking, she started to get all emotional and start lactating, wich had them believe that the father had impregnated the daughter and then killed the wife because she found out. Well to make a long story short, whenever the test results came, she was not pregnant! It turns out that this girl was so infatuated with her father and had such a desire to become pregnant by him, that she actually started believing that she was pregnant (pretty weird huhh)... With such a strong desire and belief about being pregnant, her body started to respond by releasing all the essential hormones in her body to support being pregnant, causing her to lactate, have screwed up periods, and all the other side effects of becoming pregnant! I forgot what the name of the "disorder" was, but it is an actual real-life mental phenomenon that actually happens everyday. (I believe it can be caused by a mental disorder, as explained above, but not an actual disorder itself... just the way your body works) This suposebly happens everday to women wishing to become pregnant but for whatever reason are having a hard time...or cant... and also to women that get custody of an infant.

(For those that are interested in the ending of the story, it turns out that the girl got very jealous when she heard that her mom and dad where getting back together, and in a burst of rage had killed her mom.)

I was reading an old Arnold Schwartzenegger article where he said that he would imagine and make himself believe his biceps as mountain peaks and that he believed this visualization was necessary to develope the world class arms he developed. Even with all the advanced performance enhancing drugs available today, pro bodybuilders are still having a hard time matching his arm size. Could some of his results been from good genetics and steroids? Yes, but I still believe that his results would not have been as spectacualar as they where, if he didn't have good training philosphy and beliefs!

Here is a link to a good article

That's really interesting, I guess she'd have to be believing pretty hard in it for that to happen...
