So, I've been using L-Arginine as a supplement for quite some time in my Penis Enlargement work, because others on this site had mentioned good things about it, but I had never really thought about it until recently as something that could be hindering my work.

I notice that when I use L-arginine, I have great erections all the time, I wake up with rock solid morning wood if I take some the night prior, and that results from the Bathmate seem better and the temporary effects seem to last longer if taken some time prior to Bathmate use.

However, I have noticed, that if I take L-Arginine before doing jelqing work, or any time before sexual activities, my staying power during both of those is DRASTICALLY reduced, to the point of premature ejaculation. I've had times where I literally just get into my girlfriend, and I already have the feeling that I'll be coming in the next few thrusts. Without the L-arginine in my system, I can usually get her off a few times before I get close.

Maybe I need to work on kegels more (duh, I need to work on kegels more) so that wont happen, but this is just what I've noticed from L-arginine.
Anyone else have thoughts on this supplement as a help or a hinderance?
 
I would train the kegels harder, build up the PC muscles to help with staying power. For me, doing girth, right before sex was best for my lasting power.
 
However, it should be noted that high doses of L-arginine can result in stomach complaints as it increases the production of gastrin, which is the hormone responsible for producing stomach acid. If you suffer from ulcers it could exacerbate your problems, so you would be wise ... To do this at home, tighten your pelvic floor muscles as though you're trying to stop yourself from passing gas. You can also try and practicing retracting your penis and lifting your scrotum only .
 
I'm new here. I have been taking L-arginine in the hopes that it'll help me get bigger. It makes my penis feel kind of numb during an erection, so I have a lot of staying power when I'm in my lady. Sometimes I last for 45 minutes or more before cumming. I take doses of 6grams a day for overall health issues. Oh. and it hasn't made me any bigger, that's why I'm here.

L-arginine in no way will help you get bigger in and of itself. It will help you in several ways though, at least theoretically. It can help in retaining water (because it helps in the synthesis of creatine withing the body), it helps in the creation of nitric oxide which is needed to "relax smooth muscle" so that you can get more blood into your penis, it helps in the repair of damages cells and tissues, and, although not talked about too much, it helps to increase your energy from a cellular standpoint. It does not "produce" additional energy, but it rather saves a lot of energy that would have been used without its abundant presence. ATP production in the body is energy intensive and ATP is consumed by most cellular activity (exercise, cell repair, energy transmission from cell to cell, etc, etc) L-arginine is also one of the components. needed for many of these cellular functions, but it is synthesized by consuming ATP. However, this process of l-aginine naturally within the body it is very inefficient from an energy standpoint. By supplementing with l-arginine artificially, you will be able to have more ATP and l-arginine available to be used by the cells without wasting a lot of energy.

But it will not make you bigger just by taking it. You have to put in the work to break down the cells, encourage the transportation of that energy, and the dividing/multiplication/repairing of cells, etc, through your Penis Enlargement work. :D
 
Thank you irspow. L-arginine's nitric oxide boosting effect also helps as a vasodilator, which is what we want happening to our penis. I wouldn't mind if my penis veins bulge out like in some of those Penis Enlargement ads we see.
I've been taking L-arginine for overall health since I have been on a high fat diet for most of my life. Hopefully it'll help the blood flow throughout the body.
As for sexual issues, I stick to my post above. It has given me more lasting power. Maybe it is just me. It would be interesting to hear what others have to say about using L-ariginine in whatever form, that is what the original post is about.
I use L-arginine plus powder, Now Sports L-arginine powder, Jack3D powder, and Natrol L-arginine tablets.
 
Glad I saw this post before I posted about the L- Arginine. Thanks for the info. I'm a newbie to the site and to the Penis Enlargement world. Just started taking the L- Arginine after seeing my brother taking it as a supplement for weight lifting. Got the regular capsules from Wal-Mart. I'm trying to get my Penis Enlargement routine worked into my schedule. Work 3rd shift and a single parent of two kids. Not a lot of personal time to grow myself. Thought I could supplement this in to support the blood flow as enlargement progresses. I'll post in the newbie forms later to give dome progress I have made. Ypu all are inspirations to me to start my journey in the Pe world.

Does Citrulline Malate work better than L-Arginine? Both kingsnake and kingcobra recommend it for EQ, and from what I know they seem to be similar amino acids, in that they are necessary for NO levels, though L-Arginine also affects ejaculation too.
 
Some Penis Enlargement pills contain only 250mg of L-arginine, so 1000mg is considerable. I'm taking 3000mg a day in powder mix form ( my choices is listed in the above post). They say that L-arginine doesn't work so well on older folks like me, and L-citrulline is better in acheiving the same effect. When I take the solid L-arginine pills, it does upset my stomach. You just have to try it to see what it'll do for yourself.
 
How does the L citrulline work for you MikelB?

L arginine doesn't do much for me ...actually makes my EQ worse.

DickL, I'm still new here at Penis Enlargement, so I can't really say how it is helping me in that regards. The L-arginine plus dose ( 1 scoop) that I take daily has 5gr of L-arginine and 1gr of L-citrulline. It does make me feel better throughout the day than without it. I wake up with a hard boner at 3am that doesn't seem to go down, so I am sure it is working on me.
 
Ahh, supplements.

I've been taking some L-arginine for, Hydromaxhh, some months now. I've cycled though, some days I haven't taken it at all. Best times I was taking around 3000 mcg, which is a good amount in my opinion.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know about balancing! Consider taking L-lysine with L-arginine, separate time is alright, but what I've read is that too much L-arginine isn't so good after all!

MikelB, That sounds like a heavy dose, but then again, sometimes you need bigger doses! I've been cycling some of my supplements for now, "have to keep the body guessing" like it's often said / written.

Neckercube, 1000 mcg is a good amount before girth work out in my opinion. I would take that 1000 mcg maybe 30 minutes prior to the workout. At least I've been doing something like that, I excercise first, time it, pop some of supplements 30 minutes prior to going to shower. I'm really starting to grow in Bathmate and outside it as well!
I vary the amount of dosage, sometimes I just do 1000 mcg a day, other days I might take 3000 mcg. Haven't gone past the 3000 mcg, maybe I'll try one day! Always listen to your body.

I take either 2-3 grams per day. It is a fundamental precursor to many cell cycle dependent chemicals, :D Citrulline is one, used in daughter cell growth.

Whether you take the Citrulline product of L-Arginine is a choice that you will have to make for yourself. Perhaps you would want to read up on what the Citrulline specifically does within the cell cycle and why you would think that you are somehow deficient in its production normally.

The biggest reason that I take L-Arginine however, is that it is directly elevates Nitric Oxide which is essential in relaxing the "smooth muscle" so that more blood can enter the penis.

Should it take a few days to see more noticeable improvements in EQ?
This is my second day of taking it. Last night my EQ was as if I had not jelqed in a day.
Today I haven't had too many erections, but I certainly feel less tired.

I ask this because I noticed some people supplementing L-Citrulline and Citrulline malate said it took them a while to see the amazing EQ it offers. I think for one it was almost two weeks?
 
There are other factors that effect EQ, so it is possible that supplementation can have a delay or immediate results depending on the person. I personally found improved EQ, less that perfect for other reasons, within about a week. (I am talking about L-Arginine, not Citrulline which is one by product) Nitric oxide aids in vascular dilation and "relaxing the smooth muscle", but the blood flow must be increased as well to fill this potential as well. If you are not getting the results that you would like, be sure to do your blood engorgement exercises and plenty of intense kegels while supplementing to ensure that you are capable of taking advantage of the increased potential that the additional nitric oxide provides. Don't worry about it too much, you will see results in time either way. Penis Enlargement NORMALLY improves EQ because of the constant stimuli or "exercise", but rapid growth or expansion can also decrease EQ while the vascular system lags behind in its own "growth" rate. Penis Enlargement is a endeavor measured in large time frames, not days or weeks.

What I am getting at is this form of supplementation DOES have rather immediate chemical reactions take place in the body, but the penis itself does not necessarily react or have the capability to react as quickly as the chemical reactions taking place within it.

One way you could show this to yourself, would be to stop supplementation, expand your penis to maximum engorgement and record that size. The next day, take a gram of L-Arginine and do the same engorgement procedure thirty minutes after the supplementation and note the difference in size. That difference is the difference in potential size due to supplementation. Now if you don't reach that size "normally" during arousal, it is only a matter of you being unable to get that pressure differential, or blood flow, into your penis "naturally". So then it is clear that you have to work on ways to increase your ability to force more blood into your penis without external forces. Kegel, kegel, kegel my Brother. :D

I took L-Arginine for a while and I found that My erections were better at first, then if I missed my dosage I would have flagging erections as if my body was dependant on the arginine. So I stopped takin it and found that more kegel work is the best option.
 
Thanks 4 the input...that's y I'm going 2 do kegels along with the Pills, I hope the pills does help increase blood flow tho and I hope they help with my gains when I do start my Penis Enlargement'ing back up
 
Arginine will make you harder.

the thing about most supplement companies, is they use the dirt cheap shit. Do you research and find the best products before spending your cash. Thats just general advice for everyone.

Im just guessing on your problem so dont crucify me if im wrong lol. I think most products that make you harder overload the PC muscle which lead to a quick shooter. Dont depend on a supplement, let them be the icing on the cake. Kegels need to become your best friend.
