Yah its good, but itll spoil ya face man lol I used to do ALOT of boxeing years ago.
Used to fight bare knuckle contests every friday and saturday night in the local park/field in my local home of Salford in Manchester.
Used to have loads of peeps watching, all would gather round a nice clear grassy spot well away from anyone and than place there bets.
The fight would last till either someone got KO'd or they gave in.
I have had broken nose, broken ears, broken knuckles and alsorts from this sport.
I had to tell ya my story, cos I made a nice packet each week from my winnings.
But its best to stick to the controlled boxing, and not the underground like I did cos in this world ya'' get killed at some point lol
The problem with all the eastern martial art shit these day's is that it's waaay to commercial. Think about it, you have crap like karate, where you're not allowed to hit the face and you have 12 year olds running around with black belts. The only way to learn to fight is to do it full-contact and that's exactly what all the so called martial arts lack. Conclusion-if you want to do something that will teach you to do flashy yet uneffective moves, go for eastern martial martial arts.If you want to learn to defend yourself do boxing, kick-boxing or if you have the time and health thai-boxing or combat sambo(if you can find it).
P.S RED ,I used to box for a few years too. , i even got my nose broken twice. Heh, you Brits are pretty infamous for those illegal matches and as far as i know youre also one of the rare countries that have good boxing gyms.
Muscle isnt everything.
I myself aint massive, but I have large shoulders and back.
My body is LOW in fat and I have VERY high stamina.
Also just cos ya got massive muscles dunt mean ya stronger than a guy whos smaller than ya, I beat nearly every guy in my local stations arm wrestleing comp' recently, and some had MASSIVE arms and shoulders yet I beat them cos I have it mentally and also naturally strong, I have always been strong without weights.
If I lifted weights I would gain mass in no time, especially my pecs,back and shoulders.
