The best grip for manual stretching?

DLD, is it best to wrap up for the LM below the head or cover the head with the wrap, I'm still out here trying different wraps. It just seems that whatever wrap I use I'm still getting red dots on my head after using the length master. Just seems that my head takes a hit every time I stretch with the LM. Should I use more wrap or what do you recommend?
Personally, I never wrapped the head (Glans) when using the LM so I could monitor the Glans when stretching...
...if you are getting red dots in the Glans, there is too much blood in the Glans before the final lock-down of the LM chamber. There is an excessive force (pressure) in the Glans and causing the capillaries to break.

Relax the best you can and squeeze the Glans to remove the blood from it just before the final lock-down of the LM chamber. The rule of thumb is "Low & Slow"; ease into the stretch with low pressure and duration then build upward from there and monitor the Glans with each pull. Make adjustments accordingly...
...the last thing you want is a broken blood vessel in your Glans.

Be sure you squeeze all of the blood out of your head when you’re wrapping. What I like to do is wrap a little bit above my coronal ridge because it takes much of the pressure off of the head. What wrap are you using right now?

What up DLD, hope all is well!

The wrap I'm using right now is an ace bandage first and then I put the theraband over that and lock in or I will just use a thin wrap if ace and lock in and go. I'm getting great sessions with the LM, but the issue I keep having is that the tip of my head just gets beat up and has red spots all over after my sessions. The spots stay there and slightly fade out over the next day but still are visible. My head gets dark purple when I'm about 10 minutes in and so I unstrap and re-wrap every 15 minutes but still same issue. I seen a thread about how the VLC tugger and cone solved that issue for one guy on here because it creates back pressure and the LM doesn't slip over the head and create so much pressure on the head, so I was thinking about going that route. I have no pain at all and my routine is solid I just can't seem to shake so much pressure off the head. What can I do to fix this issue and have no more spots come through?
Thanks!

A couple thoughts, are you using a glans cap? Is your wrap going over the coronal ridge? The VLC is a great tool or accessory to use with the LM or any ADS. Warm-ups are important to as they will help eliminate spotting and bruising. Let me know those answers, thanks my brother.

I'm currently don't have a glans cap but was thinking about getting one to alleviate the issue.
My wrap is not going over the coronal ridge, I wrap the ace nice and tight just below the head thinking that it would help with any slippage from the LM. I haven't been warming up at all, I just wrap and go and use a space heater to keep warm while stretching.
Should I be covering the head with the ace completely?
I think the VLC might be the route I will go If I can't stop the spotting and bruising for sure!
You think 30 minutes a day in the LM will bring some nice gains?
Thanks for your response, have a good night!

Go with the VLC it is inexpensive and will solve your issues. ??

DLD Thanks for the response!

I don't have the VLC yet, so I went back and tried wrapping over the corral ridge and it solved the issues. The wrapping I was doing before was wrapping under the ridge and it was creating too much pressure on the head making bruises and spots. Wrapping over the head is the way to go for sure. The only small issue I'm having now is getting dry skin from the LM under the ridge, but I'll take that any day over the prior issues!
Once you go the LM route, there is no comparison to stretching, the hands just don't come even close!

DLD, thank you for the tips!
