Teacher claims right to fuck teenage students
Times-Shamrock News |
"A former Dallas High School teacher did not dispute having sex with a 16-year-old student, but his lawyer argued Tuesday that there's nothing illegal about it. Gregory Solfanelli, now 26 and of Lily Lake Road in rural Dalton, is charged with corrupting a minor after having sexual contact with the girl from the summer of 2003 to January 2004 at his home, at Scranton hotels, and elsewhere. But his lawyer, John P. Moses of Wilkes-Barre, argued not only is the sexual contact legal, but that the charge of corrupting a minor is unconstitutional and should be stricken from state law... The state's statutory rape laws allow sex between anyone 16 and up. At the time of Solfanelli's sexual contact with the girl, she was 16 and he was 25."
