"SO hanging question"

I had to switch to SO hanging until the testicle injury heals. When hanging in this direction I get a much more purple color in the head with a white ring around the glans ridge. This does not happen when hanging BTC. Can anyone give any suggestions that might stop this. I am using the bib starter and use ace wrap . The wrap is definately not that tight. CGuy

Make sure the bottom nuts are in far enough, and tighten down the wing nuts. Then make sure the top meshes together.

It sounds like your gripping mostly skin in this position. With SO and OTS hanging you really have to tighten the hell out of the hanger . Tighten until it is just uncomfortable, wait a few seconds and tighten some more. Do this about 3-4 times. Then hang the weight, and tighten again.

Make sure you are starting far back, and have pulled all of your skin back from your head. That should help to get rid of the white ring around your head.

Good luck to you.

Ok I switched from BTC angles because my lot had dropped to 6-6.30. Bib suggested this change. I am still having the same problem with the purple color and the coldness in the head. Been trying for almost 3 weeks to get this worked out to NO avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

C-Guy,

Don't know if this is still an issue with you now butt I remember Bigger saying in a thread over at Thundersplace that he used to slightly have his hanger diagonially placed with his staft when veiwed from a side on angle.

I tried to find the post for BBS but never could (should have saved it in my favourites).
Sometimes I still get a white coloured ring. I am haning in upperwards angles now. (LOT has been slowly rising too). I some too sometimes get the hanger placement perfect and don't get the white ring while other times I get it wrong. Seems like only a minor position change of hanger too shaft relationship and I am stuffed but thankfully these days the poorer nonproductive hanging sesssions are gettting fewer and fewer.
