According to Bib's L.O.T. Theory, I'm at 6 o'clock. I guess this means my ligs are "maxxed out", huh? Is that really true?

So I guess that hanging straight down or between the cheeks would be useless for me? Should I only hang straight out, or straight up?

Hanging straight up will be a problem for me, but only a minor one... I'll just have to attach a hook to the ceiling or something. Hopefully I wont have to explain what it's for to anyone who drops by. I'll tell 'em it's for a spider plant or something. Heh heh. I definitely ain't gonna be draping a rope over my shoulder with weights attached to it. That shit'll be diggin' into my shoulder man... and the weights'll be clanging into my spine! then I gotta sit there and take it for 20 minutes at a time? F that noise.

Since I started hanging, with my homemade shit and with my production Bib hanger, I've always hanged straight down. Is this useless? I have a feeling that my L.O.T. was always at 6, even before Penis Enlargement. I dunno.

I definitely AM gonna rig up a hook under my computer desk so I can hang straight out. That's a cool idea someone thought of and I'm gonna try that. But straight up is gonna be tricky.

Anything to maximize my gains and save me time.

But really though, even if the LOT theory was a proven fact and not a theory...wouldn't hanging straight down do something for your length? Your penis is being stretched and held in the stretch, so it's gotta be beneficial at any angle if you do it long enough, right?

I'm not sure. I just don't wanna waste my time when I could be gaining.

Can anyone offer any advice?
 
All else fails, go with what works for you. The LOT theory will still be a theory in 5 years since the medical monkey's reject Penis Enlargement.
I also have a starting 6 lot, so I'm all about over the shoulder hanging, but I use my ADS straight down. If I don't gain in 2 months, I'll change my routine. I'm my own Penis Enlargement Guinea Pig.
Do I believe in the vailidy of the LOT theory? Yes.
The premise was extrapolated from Penis Enlargement'er data, not just cooked up.
 
When you hang "over the shoulder", does that mean literally over the shoulder? Or have you devised some kind of pulley system? I don't even wanna try putting a rope over my shoulder.... that's an injury waiting to happen, at least for me it would be... I'm a clumsy ox.

Looks like I'll be installing a pulley sometime soon.

I thought I was slick by opening the top drawer of my dresser, and looping the rope through one of the handles to hang straight upwards, but it didn't work as good as I thought it would. The rope was rubbing on the handle and wasn't pulling the full weight.
 
My thought, and method has always been to do what worked for me. I, just like DLD believe that it really does NOT matter what your "LOT" is. Just find an angle that gives you a consistently good stretch, and stick with it. For me that has always been, and still is (gosh in 5 years+) either straight down or BTC (between the cheeks).

You are right - both in the context of Bib's LOT Theory and otherwise.
What the LOT Theory serves to do is mostly address the issue of ligs: How and when to best to take advantage of them, and who should be taking advantage of them. I don't think it is useful to debate the LOT theory because even the medical community concurs that when the supporting ligaments are "lengthened" more penis is expressed, and therefor a longer penis results. It's all about altering existing anatomy.

However, when those ligaments have been tapped out there is nothing standing between the tension of your weight and your unit. Essentially, your unit is the only thing left to stretch now. So yes, even with low angle hanging you can gain - regardless of your LOT.

Why anyone would ever want to alter their angle higher has to do with two things:
First, when you hang at a higher angle you are not just stressing the outer tunica you are attempting to stretch and express inner shaft - that part of your penis that runs from the exit point of your groin into your body and under the pubic bone.
The advantage to high angles is that the pubic bone itself begins to act as a built in fulcrum, in effect intensifying the amount of stress on your inner shaft (think V-stretch).
If your unit is supporting all of the weight at low angles you will miss out on this fulcrum effect and simply stress the outer penis. Obviously, we want to optimize our hanging work and raising the angle we hang at can help toward these ends.
A lot of DLD's manual work has focused on the value of fulcrum stretching - it holds incredible potential and should be a part of any serious routine - even for hangers.

The other argument for hanging strictly at higher angles when you have a low LOT is the growing speculation that a persons LOT can actually be raised by doing this.
The idea of raising your LOT largely resides in the arena of speculation and until much more data is gathered it will remain there.
I have personally read reports of guys raising their LOT. What it means in long run - I haven't a clue.

So I guess I'll keep hanging SD. I'm getting a great stretch like that. Maybe I'll try SO if I can rig a hook under my desk... but the rope won't let the full weight pull like it should, it just lays over the hook. I guess I need some kind of pulley system.
 
Yea, I guess my main idea I was trying to convey in my last reply Godsize, was the fact that you dont need to be pulling your hair out over your "LOT" and gain potential. If youre getting a good stretch and hitting fatigue doing what youre doing, keep with it.
 
Would someone please post a link to a thread that explains the LOT Theory? I have heard a LOT about it but haven't been able to get a decent explanation of what it is.
 
I've said openly that I don't believe in the LOT theory but that is not an attack on bib or anyone else. For me its a case if you keep stretching with intensity than it will grow but guys have followed the LOT theory and seen good progress and as such I encourage now in the year 2011 as many newbie hangers aint heard about the LOT theory, to get reading about it and see if its for you.
 
LOT Theory only seemed to confuse and discourage more than help IMO. According to the theory I should not have gained anything in length after my first six months as my LOT was at 6:00...If I agreed with this I would not have gained the additional length I did from Ligament Stretching.
 
If you guys are trying to make tunica hanging more effective then check these links out in my pic thread. Pay attention to the pics where i'm laying on my back with my knees bent and have my penis being pulled straight up towards my belly button. I have a chair with a pully system attached to it with my hanging rope going through it with weight hanging from it. The other end of the rope is attached to my hanger. This to me is the best way to do tunica hanging. Over the shoulders hanging to me is not very effiecient because your shoulders will be take most of the load off of your penis.
