High reps/quick motion v. lower reps/longer motion?

Tell me what is best for developing what characteristics and the science behind it.

Hey....anything for a Pens fan....

Here goes (drum roll please)....normally, it is something like this:
* Wet jelqs tend to be more for length , than are dry jelqs.
* Dry jelqs tend to be more for girth than are wet jelqs.
* Jelqing while more erect (say, above 75-80% or so) is more for girth development.
* Jelqing while softer (say, under 60-65%) targets more length .
These are not carved in stone....but they are fairly approximate.
I would say to perform your jelqs slowly. How slow? Well, that depends on your length & thickness, of course. But generally, each rep should be 2-4 seconds long.
In terms of gripping strength - obviously, if you grip too loosely you're just rubbing your skin. If you grip too tightly, it would be tough/impossible to do the jelq. Generally, grip tightly enough to move the blood through your penis. You should see your glans expanding with the completion of each jelq.

When I began jelqing, I added 0.5" in erect girth in only a month. All together, I've added about 1" in erect girth (from 5.2" to just under 6.2" midshaft, 6.5"+ at the base). I actually eased up on girth work awhile ago, because I'm more interested in length . But here is a good pic showing my girth:

I would recommend this:
Wet Jelq
Begin while totally limp. You should be able to get in quite a few strokes before you're over 65% erect or so - therefore getting some good length work in.
Keep jelqing. As you get above 85% or so, you're mostly hitting girth. As you near complete erectness, work on some "holds" for girth.
This way, you're hitting length & girth.
P.S., Don't forget kegels and STRETCHES.

dam waxN thats a nice pic, ive gained over a inch in girth doing jelqs at 80/85% erect.

Thanks pUNKY. That sounds like my stats - an inch EG, mostly from jelqs above 80% erect. I quit doing those awhile ago as I'm pretty happy with my girth, and I really want another 1 to 1.5" EL. But girth was easy for me to gain.

I think I'll begin with wet jelqs. I've got a BPenis EnlargementL of 6.5", girth of 5.5", but an unacceptable EL of 4.5". From the measurements I read here, I don't think my girth is too bad. A lot of guys seem to be shooting for 6"-7" and I think that would be attainable with a modest amount of work. However, I've got my work cut out for me on EL.
