Man I was sitting here reading posts trying to catch up when I heard a loud crashing sound. I went to the door and looked out and a huge limb had fallen from a pine tree and landed on my roof and across my truck. A little too close for comfort. That was from the tropical depression . Now this evening the hurricane Charlie is supposed to come thru here. Oh well I'll keep my head ducked! At least the temperature has dropped some. It was 100plus now its dropped into the 80s. Later guys.

The lord works in mysterious ways ;) nah
But its a real messy situation you have landed in, hope it goes well in the end my friend.

Hope your truck wasnt damaged. A large tree limb fell on a friends Camero a few years back and dinged it up pretty good. My older brother is in Tampa. Hes only been living there for 8 months, doing some codeing. Before Florida he was in California and went through some fires and an earthquake. Touble seems to follow that guy, probably for pounding the snot out of me about a million times when I was a kid, he is 12 years older. Made me tough though.
Anyway, batton down your hatches C-Guy, they say you could be in for a wild ride!

I should be far enough from the storm path to not experience any real danger. As for the limb it didn't cause any major damage. I am blessed! Thanks guys.

Where do you live? My grandpa lives in polk county and his neighborhood got hit pretty hard. i posted some pics in the "sterms a brewin" thread

I live in S. Georgia well away from the storm path. However it was predicted that we would get 8-10 inches of rain and 40 to 50 mph winds as it approached N. Fla. It never got bad at all here. No wind or rain.
