Penomet to Bathmate differences...

Hey guys.
So I've just got my BM X40 - very excited! But I just wanted to check something with you guys who may have owned the Penomet as well before.

I've noticed it takes more effort to press down on the pump (i.e the gaiter seems a lot tougher to push) compared to the Penomet.. is this how it should be? Does this mean it has more pressure in it? Is it like the equivalent of getting the higher gaiters on the Penomet (which I have heard is stronger)?

Thanks

In a head-to-head competition that lightning performed the Bathmate was far more intense than the Penomet. The advantage that Penomet had over the Bathmate is the multi gator system but in the multi gator system the strongest gator was not as strong as the standard Bathmate.

Yikes, and I was getting gator bite from the Penomet when I used it (briefly) last year! I read the advice about easing into pumps and was all "nah fuggit I'm going 1/2 hr highest gator." That stuff is no joke! :D

Yes, the gaiter on X40 or any of the BM series pumps can be harder to push down, especially if compared to the low force gaiters for Penomet.

RED wrote briefly about the gaiter design in Hydropumps doesn't allow to push over certain threshold. I hope my "quote" is correct, but he did explain it in a good manner that was new information to me.

So, it is as it should be, no worries! :) I actually happen to have the "Hulk" gaiter for Penomet. Honestly, I think I can push it down without Vacu-vin! (cwl) It's that rigid.

Easing into pumping is legit deal Brawn! I do recall my first Hercules session, getting huge expansion which was mostly fluid. (At the time I had no idea of doughnut head to my best memory. But I did learn!)

Yep I learned pretty quick. Enjoy your new ring of blisters! Also you don't get an erection for the next couple days.

Ouch! I just got the doughnut that went down the next say, erections were fine.

You surely have learned, that shows! (y)

Trial and error and learning with every session will eventually bring mastery so what you’re doing.

Awesome. Thanks for the replies! Gonna strengthen up my arms now at this rate... haha

That's one thing you might get with PE, stronger arms and fingers! :D
Depending on methods used naturally.

Take good care of the pump and the gaiter will remain rigid. I think I've used mine a bit too much at times, possibly with too hot water, so the gaiter is a bit softer / easier to push than in the beginning.
If you need lube, use something water-based or something "natural", silicone lubes are a no-go!

Great question, freal!

May I ask a piggyback question?

Can the Bathmate and the Penomet serve as an air pump sans the water too?

Yes both can be used as an air pump. The bathmate is superior in this way and will give you a very similar pump as an air pump when the water is not used. Using a wine vac would be a smart move if you’re going to mod this for air pumping.

Without Vacu-vin modification it's hard to get much out of them as air pumps. And in air pumping having a clear indicator of the "pressure" is more important, in my opinion.
In water, submerged, one's penis can take a "stronger blow", bluntly put! :D

I'd only use these hydropumps in air pump sense for quick "pick me up" before a real set with water.
But that's just me, I love dunking my junk in the warm water!

I hear what you’re saying and that’s why the wine vacuum is so important if you’re going to use your Bathmate dry. But what’s the point really? The bathmate is the best pump for the very reason that we use water with it. If someone wants to air pump grab the MityVac from our store but I am telling you the BM crushes it. But we do sell both because some men just want to use an air pump.

My mentor Big Al is a huge (pun intended) proponent for air pumping as a vehicle of change.

He highly recommended the air pumps from Dr. Kaplan as a high-quality pump. The price of the pump was pricey. His premium system is $495 bones.

At that price, I better be able to vacuum my floors too!

what really is the benefit of air pumps over hydro? are there any benefits? Does it promote growth more?

Well, one could blunt and say there are no benefits to air pumping. :D

But that's not the wholesome truth, it's merely more of own feeling about it.

Few pros I can think of air pumping are:

-Easy to get different sized cylinders. (Could translate to a con as well, as in having to move up in sizes, but then again that might be reality with hydropumping as well.)

- A vast amount of cylinder producers: this is also about that "easy to get different sizes", there are several good manufacturers around the world.

- Can choose more easily where to pump: there is less mess with air pumping compared to hydropumping, so one could pump while in bed, in front of TV etc..
Some do the "bucket-way" with hydropumping and that's a possibility, but it would still be messier than just air pumping.

- Price; this is one that's hard to say about though: a good cylinder will slice away some money from your wallet/account, but most air pumping solutions can be somewhat cheaper compared to their Hydropump brothers.

These are few points that I can think of. One might think that being able to monitor the pressure is a big thing and in a way it is; with air pumping monitoring the pressure is very "scientific."

Overall, I don't put down air pumping. It's more of a personal preference to do hydropumping.
I'm glad that this world is full of different kind of solutions for making gains! (happy)

from a purely physics perspective, the far greater density of H2O allows for more force and even distribution of said forces.
the $10.00(usd) VacuVin allows for pressure modulation mid-session, enabling what I call 'dynamic pumping' where I can go to max+ then back-off, (throw-in a few Kegels) then increase pressure again...kind of a roller-coaster effect

Is everything going all right my brother? Let us know how you’re doing or if we can help you further.

I think using a hydro pump dry is just stupid, but thats just me.

End of the day its been designed as a hydro Pump, and it works best in the water, not to mention with air pumping you risk going up in pressure to levels you canot handle, and with the bathmate it prevents this by use of WATER.

I dunno, do what you want I guess .. but paying cash for a kick ass product that does the job as its meant to do in the water and then messing about with some mod making it dry is going backwards.

MoS sells an air pump for those interested.
