One year at 15Lbs and I'm going for 20Lbs

Yep I finally did it, I upped my hanging weight to 20 pounds!! Oh this is gonna take a while to get used to! In that time I have been exclusively hanging nothing else. Now I'm doing a small routine DLD set up for me (Thanks D) and I upped my weight to the 20. Here's what my weight set up looks like.

The black snake looking thing is the velcro cord holders (the HEAVY DUTY ones) From Home depot. And the rope is the soft boat style rope.

The 5Lb hand weights are rubber coated and I got them from Job lot type store for 2.99 each.

I hang for one set of 45-60 min every night. While I'm at my favorite forum.

I'll keep you guys up on my progress.

Holy big weight jump batman! Why'd you add so much weight? I know you'd been using 15lbs for a year, but damn a 5lb jump? Last time I personally attemted to move up 5lbs instead of just a couple before I was ready, I got some blistering on my glans.

Well knock on wood, I have been wrapping tightly. So I havent had any blistering problems. The 5 lb gain is basically because I have spares. And figured I'd try it if I couldnt handle it I'd drop back down. But its ok so far, 3rd night hanging .

Hey Capt, love your posts BTW. Yes you are correct 45-60 min at one set. I have actually gone 1hr and 15 min at once. I use a rice sack to keep everything warm. When I have the bib on, I lay it over the top of the bib and it transfers the heat to the shaft of my unit. The head stays warm and blood flowing too it too. Sometimes I loose circulation (not to often once out of 20 times) then I stop right away and get it flowing again and re-wrap . Wrapping is the key. I have been reading Still's wrapping posts and tryed a few of them and finally stayed with a piece of flannel material. Seems to work great.

Capt what are you wrapping with?

Still glad to hear your back on the hanging regime

I use a single 10" strip of silver Theraband. I like the less is more philosophy, and it helps keep things from becoming complicated.
My goal has been to hang without wrap - but as we all know that is quite a lot to ask for. I can't do it with the Wench - though many have told me they do - but I can with the Bib Starter, however it is a very finicky hang and I am often stopped mid way through a set because of pinching and other odd skin related pains.
So I resign myself to wrapping - but with as little material as possible.

I have been privy to many private exchanges with Wench users having problems and I have to say that 90% of these cases are solved through wrapping modifications.
Wrap is very important. Unfortunately, maybe too important.

I like the heating up the Bib idea, BTW. That's a good idea.
