i saw a couple commercials of this product and apparently it simple terms it helps you gain muscle mass. This sounds like a steroid to me but i wanted to ask you guys. Now i dont really know a lot about steroids and all i know about them is that they increase muscle tone, cause genitalia to shrink, and cause cancer but aside from that i dont know much about them. Here are the ingredients, i havent found their official website which is weird but i found some info on the product and here are the ingredients. This will probably help you.

Ingredients:
Dextrose, Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine, Natural and artificial flavors, Malic acid, Red beet powder, Dipotassium phosphate, Disodium phosphate, Magnesium phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Lipoic Acid, coloring agent, Chromium Picolinate.

What you are talking about here is creatine it's not an anabolic steroid and is safe to take. Creatine is necessary for the production of ATP in the body which is the main energy source for short intense movements like weightlifting. Supplementing creatine will help you by increasing your strength and can make your muscle look fuller due to the cells in your muscle sucking up more water then usual , so make sure you drink alot of water .

I found some information on creatine for you which is explained a lot better. http://www.absolute-creatine.com/

Also anabolic/androgenic steroids do not shrink your penis, they can shrink your balls but if you do a recovery cycle they will return to normal and they don’t exactly cause cancer but can aggravate or accelerate existing cancers. Steroids are quite safe if you know what your doing and what compounds you take, knowledge is the key!

If your just starting out on working out, then stick to the steak, chicken breast, and maybe a quality protien powder (not overpriced nitrotech) for your protien. And there is no point in taking overpriced cell tech. I remember reading a study that show'd your body can only contain so much creatine at a time and therefor Cell Tech can't work as well as it say's. If you wan't to try some creatine, go for plain-ole fashion creatine monohydrate (german grade) with some grape juice.... for a fraction of the cost you'll get the same results but maybe a day or 2 later.

To be honest, I always heard and read that German creatine was the most pure also. I also remember reading some study comparing it to creatine made in China and a couple other places and how the others had a higher amount of impurities... But, we're talking about supplement companies here and those studies could've been biased. I've always just wen't with the most popular (German), when I use to use it back in highschool. Either way, it's pretty damm cheap and it was a good product.

IMO all of the muscle tech stuff is a waste of money, their is other brands on the market that are just as good if not better for much less money.

Good question and good job from the field in the replies. Lots of good info on this post.

I had good luck with creatine when I was following the Body for Life program. Prior to that, I had told my musclehead buddy I'd never take the stuff. Much like ephedrine, there was a lot of hype over nothing a few years ago. Athletes were getting cramps and, to my knowledge, the NFL has still banned creatine to this day for this reason. For this reason, which is a legitimate concern, it cannot be overstated: drink lots of water! I would recommend at least one gallon per day, more if you are highly active or sweat heavily.

There are two other points. First, if you're new to working out, don't bother with it for the first couple of months. I'm talking if you've never lifted weights before, or if you have, but have been inactive for a decent amount of time. Just get more protein and less carbs in your diet to begin with. You don't have to go low carb if you have no weight problem, but do increase the protein to carb ratio. Second, you don't have to buy the expensive stuff to get good results. Yet, my personal favorite is Phospagen HP by EAS. It is a little towards the higher priced end of the spectrum. Definitely wait till Gold Card day or Member Savings day and stock up. I like it because it tastes much better than anything else I've tried. Phospagen is also supposed to be an effective ingredient in a good creatine mix.

oh gawd the title of this thread is funny...

Muscletech basically has -infinite respect from people who are knowledgeable about supplements because of their ridiculous claims and equally ridiculous prices.

Nitrotech = regular whey
Cell tech = creatine + dextrose + kool-aid

make the crap yourself for 1/5th the price

if you're worried about purity of your creatine, make sure it's labeled creapure , yes it's German.

Exactly how do we do that? Do you have any links and specific recipes/mixing ratios?

instead of Nitrotech just buy regular whey protein

and for Celltech the ratio need not be precise, and probably should be tailored for yourself. For example, if you had a long and intense workout you should use more dextrose, and if you are trying to cut fat you should use less. A good guideline is 5:40 g creatine:dextrose. All of the other ingredients are cheap and have little effect at those doses and are just used for marketing.

Here's an article with more detailed info:
