Please move this to the appropriate forum....

I have been dabbling with something new and maybe somewhat controversial. That being the use of subliminal messages. The are multiple software programs out there that will display subliminal messages on your computer monitor. The good thing about these is you can create your own messages to be displayed. Your "eye" is unable to see them but your brain and sub-conscience picks up on it. I have experimented on myself and my unsuspecting wife. I believe it works. She seems more responsive sexually lately. Self-help subliminals can be used in many ways, i.e. stop smoking, weight lose, self esteem, and maybe even Penis Enlargement.

I would like to know your alls thoughts on this.

There are many programs out there that do this but here is the one I have been using

Yup, should be in the Alternative Penis Enlargement Methods forum.

An interesting concept for sure. I did a quick google on it and got *this*, which I would generally agree with. Here's a quick quote;

As is well known, subliminal tapes typically have an audible side, on which the message is clearly present. On the opposite side, however, all one typically hears is subdued music intended to "lull the listener into relaxation wherein the subliminal messages can work." Of course one can't hear the message, only the music. It is at this point that a scientist may suggest that it is impossible for a weak stimulus to compete successfully against more powerful stimuli (Dixon 1971) for either selective attention or control of behavior. Unfortunately, while this logic may be perfectly obvious to us, many subliminal subscribers would now stop listening to the scientist.

How to continue the conversation at this point depends upon your time and patience as well as your motivation to educate or irritate. You may decide to assume the message is there and ask the proponent or salesperson why we can't hear it. Predictably, the answer will be that the message only interacts with the unconscious mind without our awareness. Now you counter that whether the message works with the unconscious or the conscious mind, such a message still needs to impinge on the nervous system through auditory receptors. So why can't our ears hear the message?

Most often, the proponent will say either that the message has been increased to such a high frequency that it is beyond our range of perception or that it is at too low a frequency or volume, but that it certainly is there. Such a reply acknowledges that the message is beyond the range of human auditory perception! If you then raise that point, ironically the subliminal proponent will agree. You might now ask if a dog or a bat could hear the message. We have, in fact, received affirmative answers to this question from clerks intent on sales. Our next question has been, of course: Can these tapes help my dog lose weight, or help my bat to develop a more positive self-esteem? At this point, we have been asked to leave the store, had the phone suddenly disconnected, or found fellow customers laughing as the ludicrous nature of subliminal tapes became apparent. But such an approach does little to teach people to engage in scientific thinking or to become discriminating, thoughtful shoppers.

Actually, the messages on subliminal tapes can't be heard because they are in fact not there. Merikle (1988) conducted a spectrographic analysis of several subliminal audiotapes and found no evidence for the presence of any identifiable speech sounds. If you were to present this data to the subliminal subscribers, they would stop listening, because they prefer to believe individual testimonials. They choose to believe something, anything, that will offer them even the hope of relief from their problems.

My single biggest block to even considering using something like this is how do you qualify whether it has aided you or not? If I add this to my Penis Enlargement and I gain, was it;
a) the Pe that did it solely
b) the hidden message that did it
c) both
d) neither eg more sleep, better technique, less stress etc

No one lives in a vacuum so how could we measure it?

Don't get Subliminal tapes and subliminal software confused. The are totally different. One being auditory the later being visual. I believe bother would work but the tapes or audio would be harder to customize. The visual subliminal software allows you to create your own messages to be displayed, i.e. " I Love Penis Enlargement", or " I Am.........", There are hundreds of possibilities.

Very interesting. No MAC Version though.

OK,
So how are you hiding it from the wife? OR is it running on the PC and she's not aware of it?

It is displaying messages in milliseconds with out her knowing it on my and her computers. The program is pretty well hidden on the systems. I reallly think it's working!!! She has been very horney lately which is somewhat unusual for her. I like the fact that you can create any message to be subliminally displayed. If anyone trys this be sure to write the messages in first person, i.e, " I Am smart". Never use "you".

I know this maybe a little unethical but it's pretty amazing. I feel like a mad scientist.

Hey Wasee,
I have the program but I can't figure out how to hide the tray icon when it's running. Short of that I am willing to try it out and contribute to this experiment :)

I have had it on for a few hours now, VERY simple set-up already has tons of pre-set stuff for many moods and situations like confidence, love, exams etc etc.
I have Confidence, stress, relaxation, memory ticked ... also made my own > Penis Enlargement with comments like ''You are growing'' ''you will be 9 inches soon'' ''you are bigger than lex'' etc etc.

Early days yet, but I feel more randy at the PC today ... will keep testing.
It runs in the background, you NEVER see the words you tell it ... but your mind knows or senses certain things.

Red, use "I". I read were you should never use "you". Imagine your subliminal mind telling you something. "I am getting bigger" "I will grow", "I am bigger than Lax". You want your own brain to tell you these things.

As for hidding the program in the tool bar, if you are using XP, right click the task or tool bar near the clock, then select properties. Then customize, then hide icon. Also in the program there is away to do this also. To stop it use the task manager.

anyone fancy trying a controlled experiment on this? something simple like using the message "i want peanut butter sandwiches" on your wife (assuming she has none in the house for example) and seeing if she goes out and buys some?

i love this concept but am skeptical (but open-minded). If i write on paper "my dick is growing right now" and stare at it for hours...it's not going to make any difference is it?

Still, anyone up for experimenting on their significant other?

I remember reading back on the 70's when movie at the theaters had subliminal pictures in them. For example, a movie would play and one frame of the movie would flash popcorn, coca cola, or candie on the screen. Now the viewer's eye would never actually catch this but their sub-conscience would. This all maybe BS, who knows. I do know that when this was discussed people were outraged at the thought of someone trying to lure them subliminally.

Thanks Waseechee I will amend the errors.
I will also to add to the critics, the MIND Is a POWERFUL tool....have faith, dont be so skeptical , open the mind and good things will happen.

Hi Red, this is in no way a flame ok mate :) But I consider myself a healthy skeptic as per dictionary.com's definition

One who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, or disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions.

And i don't feel the whole mind over body thing is remotely proven!

Check this out (*link*

There is little evidence of a link between a positive mental attitude and a person's ability to survive cancer, researchers have found.

The authors said: "It is commonly believed that a person's mental attitude affects his or her chances of surviving cancer and the psychological coping factors that are most well known in this respect are fighting spirit and helplessness/hopelessness.

"We found little convincing evidence that either of these factors play a clinically important part in survival from or recurrence of cancer; the significant findings that do exist are confined to a few small studies."

Interesting stuff, its a good read and goes into a lot more detail than my snippets.

Anyways, this is why i dont whisper sweet nothings to my penis during Penis Enlargement etc. Imho while the powers of (for example) visualisation are pretty much proven, this subliminal stuff is not.

(Visualisation will improve technique, not grow you a bigger schlong)

But I am open minded so if anyone wants to try my peanut butter experiment and it works, i'll be the first to jump on board this wagon :)

I'll give it a shot too. Looks like, at worst, it won't do anything and eat up a few clock cycles on your CPU.
