I have tried using my starter on 3-4 different occasions. First I wrap with an ace bandage and then put the starter on. Every time I hang with it, that singular bolt on the top keeps digging into me. I try readjusting and it still nails me. It doesnt seem to matter which way I am hanging either. It becomes the reason I have to stop. I m not sure I want to put the 2 bolted side on top as I would like to look down and be able to monitor what is going on. Does anyone have or know how to fix this? Maybe I need the bib hanger instead. My EG is between 5.75-6 depending, dont know if that is an issue or not...

Thanks

Sounds like you need to open up the bottom screws more.
That would keep your dick "lower" in the hanger and so you wouldnt hit the top screw.

Yea definitely what Matt says. Check the hanger guide, read over it start to finish! The better you know your BIB, the better! http://www.bibhangers.com/guide.htm

You cant just get your hanger and jump right into hanging...takes a couple weeks, or longer for most guys to really learn the hanger, and then start learning how to hang.

Thanks for the thread. Couldnt find it earlier and I seemed to look everywhere. Makes sense about the bottom screws as well. Im decently accustomed to hanging. Have been using the captains wench for about 2 months. Just got the bib and trying to get used to it. Will try again tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks. :)

The BIB is a totally different creature and far as I know from personal experience, overall the better of the two.

jakb,

Make sure you are adjusting the internal hex nuts found within the right skid. The outer wing nuts on the right side are NOT adjustment nuts. The wing nuts are only for loosening to get to the internal hex nuts. The wing nuts MUST be tightened down snug before you attach the hanger. The internal hex nuts are what provide the correct top and bottom gaps.

Thanks alot guys and BIB you make one impressive product. I have got it figured out I believe. I was tightening all of the wing nuts semi simultaneously, kind of like putting on a car tire(trying to keep the wheel in balance). Now I tighten the top wingnut as much as I can and then adjust the bottom hex and wing nuts.

BIB I am sending you a PM. Have a question for you.

Thanks again,

Jakb

You still have it wrong Jakb.

The whole idea is to have the right side of the hanger tight in between the adjustment nuts and the wingnuts before you put the hanger on. Not to put the hanger on with all three wingnuts loose, and then tighten as you go. Once you have your settings for the bottom adjustment nuts figured out for your amount of wrap, and hanger tightness needed for the amount of weight you hang with, you should not have to re adjust the bottom adjustment nuts very often, if ever. The BIB hanger is designed to allow you to wrap, put your hanger on, and tighten down the top wingnut. That's how it should go.

jakb,
SWM is right. Believe me you are not the first to try and attach the hanger as you did :)
My flaccid wrapped girth is 4.5 inches and I have my botto hex nuts set about 5/8 from the fixed nuts.
If your girth is bigger or smaller than that, adjust accordingly and try that.

You want your penis to sit as low in the hanger...as close to the hing as possible without actually touching the hing or bottom "teeth" of the hanger. Start by backing out the wing nuts all the way. Now, you can back out the bottom inner adjustment nuts. I'd suggest trying the adjustment nuts both evenly at first, out about 1/4". Snug the wing nuts down to tighten the bottom of the hanger, then place your wrapped penis inside and close the hanger. Squeeze all blood from the glans, then begin to tighten the top wingnut. The top teeth should be pretty close to meshed together...very little of the top bolt will be showing. You will know you have it (the hanger) tight enough when you can tighten the hanger down enough using only the top wingnut so that when you pull forward on the hanger via the S hook, the hanger seats itself on the shoulders of the penis behind the glans, and does not move forward any farther. That is the anchor point that you want the hanger to seat on.

Move the adjustment nuts in, or out accordingly in small increments until you get it dialed in.

Also, how much wrap are you using? I only use enough to go around my penis about 3 times. The main purpose of the wrap being to gather up the skin and prevent pinching, also to provide a semi firm surface for the hanger to grab onto. You dont need to pile on the wrap, but at the same time, you need at least a couple layers.
