Keep working on it, PE should not burden your hands so much. They will toughen up. You could try deadlifts and hand grippers if your hands are weak and u want them stronger
Gripping 45 lb. plates in the air and deadlifts helps me big time with grip strength. Gotta have it for those uli's.
BTW, just ice that hand down when you can. I haven't experienced any hand swelling from PE. Though I did get wore out a lot towards the end of my manual work. Now I just use the LM. Does all the heavy lifting for me.
I used to deadlift and workout in general but it didn't help hands from getting tired in PE. Nowadays I have kungfu grip but that's from so much manuals. If I don't check my strength and technique i can expect to bleed

Yup, hand strength is very important and anything you can do to increase the strength of your grip should be done. There are hand strengtheners that work pretty well but what really works is just doing length work for a few months and you will get that KungFu Grip. For those who can not get good grip get the LengthMaster, grip is never an issue with a LM.
