"My Approach to hanging and fatigue, what's worked for me so far....."

I've been asked to share this recently so here goes to the best of my ability to explain this in text:

I start out with my 'working weight level'. I already know what this weight level is from other workouts. Whether it's 15lbs, 17.5lbs...whatever I'm using at the time. The method I use is to make it a goal every day to hang all my sets for that day with that weight level...and hit fatigue as well. To illustrate this more clearly; Monday I start out hanging with 15lbs. First few sets of 20 minutes are all hung with this weight. I've got some fatigue by the last or next to last set. I may have to back the weight down a couple pounds because I just cannot hang another full set at my working weight level. Day two, same process. I start my first set with the 15lbs, and hang as many sets that day with 15lbs. Backing down a couple pounds when I absolutely cannot hang another set at that weight. Continuing the fatigue...but at a slightly lower weight level. Usually by the 3rd or 4th day of the week (on a 5 on 2 off routine), I may only be able to do my first few sets with the full working weight level before backing it down a little. I will carry on this way until I can go through an entire week of hanging , every set of every day with no fatigue. Then, I will bump the weight level up a little and start the process over. Similar to progressive weight training in body building when trying to break a "platue" ...say for example on your bench press.

This is the approach I have used so far. Then again, this is set up for guys who can hang 12 sets+ a day. Guys with less time may want to look into the "Reverse Fatigue" idea posted about by Supra. Here's the link:

Thanks Still, this is a fine explanation. I tried it yesterday (well, like all morning from about midnight), and I liked it. But as you point out, you have to hang a lot of sets. If you don't mind, I will save this one for a month or two of days where I can spend all day hanging !
