ok this is weird, when i pull my dick straight out in its flaccid state, and put the ruler on top of my dick i measures in at exactly 7" but i just tried putting it to the side of my dick and it measures at 7.6" and when i do the bone press its a full 8".Is the bone pressed way only for those of us with a little extra weight around the belly, because once the ruler touches my skin it basically is already touching the pubic bone, or only like a 4th of an inch away.So am i bigger than 7"? I doubt it, ive seen some 8+ ones on here and they look far bigger than mine but maybe this is due to my girth compared to some of yours. which way should i measure bein thin.

I try to bodybuild and eat to gain weight and mass and hopefully ill be a good pound or two heavier after 2 years of P.E:)

Personally I would measure, bone-pressed from the top. Just in case, you'll always get a correct measurement even if your weight doesn't flutter around. I believe it's a lot easier as well because if you measure non bone-pressed then you might accidentally press in just a tiny bit for a measurement etc.. Which would lead you to getting the measurement wrong. This has just been my personal experience.

I must say that I agree with ItsElectric on this one. Measure bone pressed from the top for the most accurate, consistant measurements.

Measuring is the single most important part of tracking your gains. A measurement to track gains always needs to be bone pressed because of weight gain and loss issues. The style of bone press you use is up to you as long as it is the same every single time.

We skinny people already have a huge advantage, we don't need any extra help by measuring from the side, LOL.

Measuring shouldn't be for competition, it should be for your records. Like everyone else has said, measure bonepressed from the top.

BP topways is my way too, BUT you guys do as you want...TO TRACK YA GAINS!!!!! I mean if ya want, track gains by measuring under the penis, the sides etc etc....no harm in doing thism infact IMHO it may help motivate quicker the smaller guys??
But when ya post stats here ya must use BP top-side stats as thts the Industry [pe/npe/science] standard.
