Hey everyone. I was just curious if there were any engineers around that could think up a way to attach a ratcheting mechanism to the ROP as a replacement for the latex. In essence, it would be a combination of a cable clamp and the ROP so that you would get the effects of all-day-clamping and the battery effect of the ROP.

I figure that a ratchet would be more effective than latex, or other solutions like velcro, since you could have the same exact tightness every time, and it wouldn't reduce in pressure over time like a piece of latex losing its elasticity.

Any ideas?

That's I brilliant idea, wants9!!! I want to make a rop, but can't find the metal tubing. Where do you get that stuff?

Thanks. I've been thinking about it for a few days, but just can't figure out a way to make it happen. As for the tubing, all the info you need is here.

Hmm...I've just had an idea...I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off or not, but if it works out like I think it should I'll enlighten the rest of you to it...keep your fingers crossed

...now if I could just find my dad's dremel....

I have a question for any of you people out there with voltage readers...will the length of the zinc and copper affect the voltage readings? Say if I were to use only a 1" piece of zinc and copper, would I have the same volts as if I'd used a 2.5" piece?

Keep us posted, papercut. Even if it doesn't work out, it'll keep others from wasting their time with the same idea.

It does not matter what size piece you use for the rods. The voltage is solely based on electric potential between the two metals. The more metal you have, the longer the voltage will last and more contact surface with skin. So a 1" pieces have the same electric potential as 2" pieces or even 1' pieces.

How about putting on some pipe insulation, then slipping in, on the inside of the pipe insulation the copper and the zinc, then putting a hose clamp on top of the pipe insulation to clamp. That way the hose clamp metal won't touch the ROP metal? Do you think that would work Wants9?

Sorry for not updating...the experiment didn't work out in the slightest. All in all it was a waste of my time and a few inches of my zinc and copper...

The way I'm seeing it in my head, the copper and zinc pieces would have to be very small, so they don't interfer so much with the shape of the hose clamp and cause discomfort.

What I'm thinking of is a standard cable clamp (the standard plastic ones that are mostly referred to) with zinc and copper integrated into it.

No sweat. Thanks for making the attempt, anyway.

If I get the time this week I'm going to work on this. If not, I'll work on it as soon as I get back to college in about a month because I won't have time until then. This would be so sweet! Right now when I wear a hose clamp (with electrical tape wrapped around the metal rather than pipe insulation for stealth Penis Enlargement reasons) and an ROP at the same time my sac skin gets pinched in between the rod and the clamp. It hurts!

I'm abit lost in all of this lol
What are we trying to achive here? getting a clamp like ROP into the mix??

Well, what I'm seeing in my head is a standard cable clamp, with zinc and copper plates inlaid in the inside diameter. That way, you'd get all the compression effects that the clamp provides, plus any electrochemical benefits that the zinc and copper enduce.

Why not superglue some plates within the plastic "Cable Clamps". I've been thinking of doing this but haven't yet.

The plates are fairly thin and very malleable, so it should work.

A few questions: 1) Where would you get the plates? 2) Is the copper "refrigerator grade"? and 3) Is the zinc >99% pure?
