Well I've been using my X40 for about three months now, and I've noticed a few things along the way... I've definitely gotten some discoloration, which really doesn't bother me since it seems to fade some if I take a break for a few days, but if anyone has found any lotion that helps with it I'd give it a try. The second thing I noticed is that it definitely is working, it looks thicker and possibly a little longer. When I measured yesterday I was quite surprised by what I found. My girth hasn't really gone up much at all maybe 5.25" to 5.4", but I thought I had gained more by the look and feel. What really surprised me was my BPFSL, when I started using the X40 I was at 7.8" and yesterday I was at 8.25"! I seem to be gaining twice as much length for some reason, I'm wondering if it has to do with letting the bathmate hang while I shower once it gets a seal, since I really haven't been using my extender much since I'm pretty fatigued from the pump. Has anybody had similar results? It seems that I am the opposite of everybody on the forum and gaining length for some reason. Maybe it's a case of length coming before girth? Either way gains are gains so I'm pumped (pun intended):cool:
 
My experience is very similar to yours and could be explained by an article Mike wrote about the 'Penis is more balloon than rope' (or something like that). I too hang hands free while completing my pedestrian shower duties, so there could be a bit of 'lig-stretch' involved, but I really think our tissues just grow, (not in a singular direction) they just expand along length and width

It just seems odd that I'm gaining 2x more length than girth, but maybe it's just an initial thing and it will shift to girth as I keep going.

No problem, remember gains come proportionally for the most part. So naturally girth is going to take a little more effort.

Girth always seemed to be one of the toughest things to grow for me. It might be my mind set.
 
It has been pretty tough for me as well, but I'm definitely on the right track for more girth. I think it's fairly common to really have to work at it, since it's adding so much more volume.

Definitely. And the exercises are working on a whole different level from just stretching. It's expansion which seems harder to do.

I have read many posts in my time on the impact of girth effecting length and visa-versa. Some men believe training girth may hinder length gains and I want to debate this. In my opinion Length and Girth not only complement each other but a small gain in both directions increase the total size of your penis then if you made the same gain in any single area

I hear people comparing the penis to rope or a rubber band stating that it is easier to stretch a thinner rope or band in comparison to a thicker one. I completely agree with this theory but I feel it is a poor penile comparison. The penis is more like a balloon as it is filled with blood when we get an erection and emptied when we are flaccid.

The reason I debate this is simple you can't fill a rope with liquid so it is impossible to expand the rope through increasing thickness. But you can expand a balloon length and thickness by increasing its load capacity. When you fill a balloon past it’s capacity it not only grows wider but longer too. The penis is very similar to balloon in that when we fill it with blood during an erection it expands outward and upward.

With that said I think it is a bad decision to neglect girth in hopes for better length gains. I have always trained both Length and Girth with as much intensity as the other with very good results.
 
This is the logic I employ, but as Mike wrote, there could be more to it than that. Let me throw this out there for investigation/discussion:

Maybe the CC is more like a balloon and the Tunica is more like a rope...it's possible we're having to employ the 'rubberband-stretching' theory along w/the 'balloon' theory(?)

Yeah I definitely agree, I was really focused on length for a long time, so much that I somewhat neglected girth work. Then I started focusing on girth work more and boom, I broke my length plateau and finally broke the 8" BPFSL barrier that I have been working on for damn near a year! Awesome stuff!

I think you may be on to something there brother.
 
In my opinion, allowing the bathmate to hang while you are standing is the real deal and this is my new approach to avoid waist pain and to gain length faster.

Sounds like the bathmate hardcore stretch but with much less tension.
I'm thinking about trying it out while i use the bathmate for 5minutes as a warm down.
Do you think using bathmate like this will neglect girth as it is promoting length?
Also, is it safe?
 
I've been letting my BM hang during my normal showering duties for almost 2 years...it definitely is safe, (as long as you don't suddenly lose suction and it falls-off and lands on your big toe)

I prefer sitting mainly because I'm watching videos. But I'll try standing if it hurts less.

I think it won't affect girth, it will help in length gains I think so.

I prefer sitting for the same reason you mentioned but I don't sit properly when pumping. I push my chest out and this is causing pains on my waist. When I resume training, I will experiment with sitting and tuck my chest in and I will see how it goes for a month.

Do you have anterior pelvic tilt?
