Knowing You're Kegeling Correctly...

As the work continues on improving penis size and health, EQ, sexual health, etc; I have FINALLY integrated Kegeling into my routine! With that said, even though I'm finally on the right track, one of the reasons it took so long is because I was never sure I was doing them right... Which is to say, does anyone ever do a Kegel, whether during your routine or alone, naked or clothed, rain or shine, whatever... And you're holding it and a few seconds later even though you're still in that position \ holding pattern, it doesn't feel like it any longer?

Honestly I hope I'm asking this the right way. I know my pelvic floor muscles aren't that under developed, though clearly they need work. I just mean go ahead and flex any muscle in your body and hold it, I'll wait:} You notice while you're doing it it looks and feels like you're flexing \ holding it in that position? Right now as we speak and as I write this, I'm Kegeling nice and tight, but after a few seconds it feels like I need to do it again... BUT, when doing this I do touch the area and indeed it still is tight, but I just lose that feeling.

Anyway, I'm probably writing WAY too much on this topic and or over thinking, and at this point my heart is barely in this thread any longer to the point I don't even want to hit 'submit new thread.' Yet here we are, and I could very much use any words of wisdom or advice, or at the least, knowing I'm not alone!
 
You're not alone. I too have wondered about the technical issues of kegels, partially because I have some pelvic floor issues and also because I'm an anatomy nerd.
I think your experience is normal, I certainly have a similar experience in regards to the tension and flexing. The pelvic floor muscles are rather underused by most modern people. For example sitting, especially too much, causes the nervous system to down regulate muscle activation in the glutes and pelvic floor. It takes a lot of practice to get the "mind-muscle connection" restored.
One thing that helped me was watching some videos on the pelvic floor anatomy and then trying to feel various muscles and layers while kegeling. The pelvic floor is pretty complex and is much more than just the PC muscle.
 
Kegels are so simple just as Reverse Kegels are simple. So many make it more complex. Bounce a boner, that is a Kegel. Stop the flow of urine when peeing, that is a Kegel. Stope the flow of urine, that is a Reverse Kegel. Kegels are vital to every routine, as the penis grows larger it demand more blood and the source of that blood comes from a penis adept to Kegels. Remember too that Kegels also engage ALL pelvic floor muscles, meaning you will feel the kegel from your anus to your abs.

It’s just with all these routines and suggestions, and knowing how important K’s and RK’s are, I want to make sure I’m not only not wasting my time, but also benefiting from the practice \ exercise.

I do not feel it either after a bit and what I do feel mainly on a kegel is my sphincter flexing along with my penis, reverse kegels I feel it mainly in my abs.
 
@DLD - Huh, I'll try and take note of that next time for myself... And it's funny, I've found RK's are great for my prostate play, but haven't integrated them into my Kegel workouts yet.

Perfect way of putting it. Kegels will flex your anus and reverse kegels feels like forcing a poop out.

I am chronically lactose intolerant but I still eat dairy. But yeah, I drink some milk and do some reverse kegels that milk will be chocolate before I get through one set! :)
 
See that's interesting, despite my concerns with kegeling, I still feel like I'm accomplishing something... RK's as I understand them, having mainly done them with prostate play, don't necessarily feel like I'm doing anything productive! Though I take it they're vital to all of this.

It's too good to pass up sometimes. Cheese goes on so many foods but it doesn't necessarily always cause me a reaction. Milk however...
