This freaking juice fast is garbage. im hungry all the time. it would apppear that unlike the water fast, im getting just enough calories to keep me from regulating.

Yes, it sucks :) I did it and it is tough but does work. I would not go 100% juice. I would get some food in but just enough to keep your metabolism going and your body in healthy condition. I went 30 days of a liquid diet and added food from there. My diet continued for 4 months after. I went from 280 pounds to 140 pounds. No one believed it was me. They saw the Miami Interview where I was 280 with hair to my ass and then 5 months later 140 and short hair in the "Perfect Penis" Movie. I wish I stayed in that 150-170 weight but things wained and I fell off the boat. I am now going to go a different way. I have an ulcer now and am having serious issues with my stomach. The doctors want me to eat 6 small meals a day, currently I eat one meal a day in the evening. They want me to stay away from spicy or acidy food. It is going to be a big change to have to deal with but the pain of this ulcer is unreal. Getting old is fun!

Hey DLD, thats amazing brother, you dropped all that weight! If you have tthe time, could you tell me what exactly you did, like the type pf juices you had, and the diet you followed afterwards, and if you were exercising what you did, i would love to get down to there in few months.
OH MAN, as far as the ulcer, i know exactly how you feel, i had a sever ulcer two years ago, they told me the same thing, and said i would have to take meds if i had flare ups, but i didn't listen and ended up healing my self strangely enough with cabbage/apple juice (homemade in from the juicer.)
The Cabbage has something called vitamin U, they named it u because of how well it healed ulcers, jason vale (the juice guy) actually has a documentary where a guy has ulcerative colitis and heals it completely with the cabbage juice. You have to drink the juice right away though, within two minutes.
Saved my ass thats for sure, so id say before you give up hope and give the cabbage/apple juice a try a few times a day for a month and of course eat lots of fruits and veg, stay away from the meats and spices, both meat and spices spike your c-reactive protein when you have ulcers.

I went on a water fast for the first week, the remaining weeks I was on a juice fast with small meals through the day, very small. I would eat very 2 hours, maybe 75 calories, this would keep my metabolism going all day. My exercise was basic, I ran 2 miles a day and did some basic weight training. I was losing about 2 pounds every other day. I dropped the weight so fast that people did not recognize me. I also spent little time sleeping, maybe 6 hours a day, I wanted to be in action as much as possible. I would try to remain moving the who day. There is a thread in the forums that gives the entire diet and exercises I did, I will try to find it so you can get accurate info.

Awesome, thank DLD this helps huge.
i'm going to do what you did exactly, but i think i will have to start off walking a few miles at a good pace rather than running, my cardio is shit right now, plus i've been eating horribly, so i don't want to push my heart to hard in the beginning.

Ulcer!!?? When did that happen? I thought gettin' old would be a piece of cake until this past weekend when 2 kidney stones decided to emerge...worst pain I have ever felt in my life

A month ago. I went back to the doctor because my stomach was constantly in pain, bloated and nauseated. They now have me on a new diet, 6 meals a day (ugg). I have only ate one meal a day for years so this is a big change. I have to stay clear of big meals and spicy things. Getting old is something! I can't wait for Jesus to bring me my new body!

Any idea how you got those kidney stones? And how did you or how will you resolve the issue?

Have you been actually eating a lot of spicy foods over the years? Also I'm curious how you had a bloated stomach only eating one meal a day? That's pretty much intermittent fasting meaning you fasted for around 20 hours per day I'm assuming. Even if you ate one huge meal, the bloating should resolve by the time it's time to eat again soon.

Spicy food is my favorite but I can not eat now because of ulcer. Yes, I was fasting 20 hours a day and one meal at night. I have been doing this for many years. Today they want me eating 6 bland meals a day. I am trying to do this. This morning I woke up sick to my stomach and needed Pepto. and I could barely keep that down. Very frustrating indeed but it will pass and I will be just fine, I am sure of it.
