I have noticed that DLD jelqs with the penis going up (towards the stomach), instead of down or outwards. Does anyone know if that makes a difference? Which direction is preferable?
 
I have heard that jelqing upwards works the tunica whereas jelqing downwards works the ligs more, also, the level erection you have plays a part in whether you are training mor on the girth side or more on the length side!
I personally just jelq at my erection angle, which is about 2 o'clock!

I think it is more about which way you are more comfortable with. I have always had this secret thought that my method of upward jelqing was responsible for my quick initial gains (most likely not true but still it is a small reservation.) I also thought jelqing in the direction of my erection would some how ensure me a better erection angle. Of course all of this is speculation.:D
 
man the idea of jelqing upward just sort of seems odd. is it difficult?
 
I know diffrent angles work best for diffrent people,but i seen more gains(when i jumped to 6.5 in girth)while jelquing downwards.
 
I do 50 straight out, then 50 up, then 50 straight out, then 50 up... This is so I get both up and straight angles and I use different muscles so my arms dont get tired. Like when jelqing up I use my bicept because its an underhand jelq and when jelqing straight I do a overhand jelq which uses my triceps.

It is awesome. I have never been one to do things the way they are supposed to be done:D

And you have a straight upward erection right? Think thats good, then you just work against the erection, and should get more training.
 
Great replies! Thanks. I have never done jelqing in any other direction than down and out, so I hope it gives me some additional gains. I have been quite forceful though, and for the first time, I saw a red spot on my glans (like a little bump) after jelqing and squeezing --- I showered and it seemed to go away. Should I rest or keep my doing my routine? I follow Phase II of the program.
 
I always do some like erect clamps - called uli's or somethin I beleive?? - before a jelq session and I get a way better jelq session. You guys should try it out.
