Most sites don't recommend this, is there any reason for this? Or is it just some type of old wives tale?

Penis Enlargement'ing at near full erection is commonplace, no?

What's the verdict on this?

It's ok to do so. With caution. Paysites usually steer you away from it because they are covering their ass from you injuring yourself and trying to seek liability on their part. It's most effective for girth though to work at the higher erection levels.
 
People do it and swear by it. I've jelqed near 100% before and I don't like it. I feel tremendous pressure in the veins on the left side of my cock, along with a little bit of pain in that area. I've never had a thrombosed vein before, but I know they're often due to too much pressure during jelqing and I think I was really pressing my luck by jelqing at too high of an erection level.

Ive done jelqs, squeezes, and bends at 90-100% erection and never had any problems. I think they are best for girth.
 
I've had great girth results from high erection levels. No alarming pain and no injuries, and I've been working for more than a year. You have to take it slow and work your way up.

I've never focused on girth, but I've read some about it here. I can see myself working up to handling things like bends at high erection levels, but I'm just not sure I'm comfortable with jelqing. That area of the vein really feels like I'm going to fuck something up and I don't hear other guys talk about that being normal. Should the vein burst altogether, I think that would land me in the ER. When they inquire as to my injury, I can say "Well, if you'll walk over to your computer and go to mattersofsize.com......". ;)
 
90-100% may be good for squeezes... 100% is too much if ya ask me... can't really fully clamp down if I'm totally hard.

Jelqing at 90-100% is a good way to get a donut. At least for me it is.

You can start jelqing not erect, but i'm with you on this one... When you are engorging your penis with blood, it is going to get into the erect state - not through arousal, but because you.. well, are slamming blood into it.

So if anyone else can tell me how to jelq NOT TOTALLY ERECT, please do, otherwise, i'm with the Red Man on this :p

(Erect jelqing seems to work wonders for me anyway - good stuff :p)

ditto that - that's when I feel the most pressure in the glans.
 
I have had best (at least most comfortable) results around 80% erection.

Perhaps, I was applying to much pressure at higher erection levels. I did seem to put a death grip on it at times.
 
Yes it is imperitive to do girth workouts at 100% erection. I get as hard as i possibly can then do squeezes then build back up then just keep doing them as long as i can stand it :). I do like to jelq at around 80%
 
Not to go off topic, but are you using the ROP? Your natural girth is so rare; it would be intense if you were constricting as well.
 
Does jelqing erect or even at 90% even do anything? It doesn't seem like any blood is getting pushed around if my dick is fully hard or damn close to it. It just feels like I'm sliding my hands over a greasy steel pipe. Also, the head doesn't expand as much or get hard the way it does when I jelq at a lesser erection level.

The last couple of times I trained I worked at an erection level that was very close to 100%, but I wondered if it was really doing anything the whole time. Is it?
